Axtell Eye Center

I had a corneal abrasion that was painful and the pain was not improving after 24 hours. He fit me in within 45 minutes of my call before closing for the day. He examined my eye and explained the injury and the treatment. Both he and his office staff were excellent. I work in the ER at NMC and he is always willing to give advice on what to do for eye injuries for our patients even when not on call and will often meet the patient at his office after hours if necessary when he can saving them a trip to Wichita.

The first time I went to this clinic, the Dr. licked his fingers to get a piece of paper and then touched my eye. I tried to overlook it but when I went to try on glasses, there was makeup from a previous patient on them. The clinic does not seem to value cleanliness. I went somewhere else to get glasses and the prescription wasn't correct. It was actually lower than my current prescription (which doesn't make sense). The Dr. was unable to figure out how to get my prescription changed so I can actually see. When I pushed back because I can't see out of the prescription, he asked me what I wanted it changed to. Now I likely have to pay out of pocket to get a second opinion. The one positive is the Dr. is friendly and to be fair I probably had an attitude going in because of my first experience there and the inconvenience of having an incorrect prescription.

Amazing! The kindest staff and most knowledgeable eye doctor. I didn't just get a great pair of glasses, I got answers and a sense of understanding. The same doctor also examined my 2yr olds eyes and I am so grateful for his diligence. His nurse even helped watch him while my eyes were examined!!! My 2yr old loved it there and was exited when we went back to pick up my glasses! I won't ever want to go anywhere else!

I hadn't been to the eye doctor in awhile. Dr. Beck did a thorough job and answered all my questions (there were a lot). He was friendly and funny. Definitely a good experience!

The receptionist Rocio Payan was very polite and respectful and extremely professional!! I highly recommend this place if you need someone to tend to your needs
