Dr. McDaniel and his staff at the 29th and Croco Office are fantastic! Everyone is so helpful and very nice. The doctor is thorough and never rushes me through my appointment. I always feel very well taken care of!

I have been going to the Eye Doctor's at SE 29th and SE Croco Road for years This time, I seen Dr. McDaniels. He is great! Did a awesome job dialing in my eyes. Appreciate his care and knowledge. Also Page is amazing at the front desk as well as the other staff. Very customer oriented. I Highly recommend the Eye Doctor's at 29th and Croco.

We needed to get my husbands glasses fixed after we had a car accident and they were damaged. They were too damaged in the accident but she tightened them as best as she could which did help! Thank you so very much! The service was EXCELLENT! Thanks again for trying!!

Polite front desk staff. I saw Dr. McDaniel at this appt and he was very thorough and detailed. The appt did not feel rushed or hurried. He explained what was being done and why and always ensured any and all questions were answered. I would 100% recommend him for anyone looking for an optometrist.

I switched from the Gage office about 7yrs ago because there was a young black woman who was very racist to me. I complained, went back one time to pick up my glasses and she wasn't there. I still decided to switch our family to the Wanamaker store and we were with them until this year. My 2 now adult kids went without me, separately, last year and had horrible experiences of them scamming my kids and overcharging them and then terrifying them into paying for optional services. I had an appointment at the 29th & Croco office 2 days ago. I explained what happened to my son a month ago and not only did they fix the issue but one of the front ladies called that other store and ripped into them where we all could hear (there were 7 of us waiting). They made me extremely comfortable, especially after telling them I had a stroke. I've never had such an easy, stressless eye appointment. Thank you

Dr. McDaniels is great. He explains everything so thoroughly and so you can understand it. Staff is great as well. They great you as soon as you walk in the door. I have been going to The Eye Doctors for many year's now. You will not be disappointed.

Annual eye exam, turned down the optional eye test that isn't covered by Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance. The technician went through the typical tests, puff of air to each eye, focus on the house on the horizon and then into the actual individual exam room. Tech continued another test, cover each eye and read the lowest line of letters. She left and the eye doctor came in. He did the prescription exam, it's the eye glasses on the swing arm. Check each eye with change of glass power, asks A or B or no change. Did this multiple times for each eye. Let's you know if you need glasses or if you can just use readers as needed. Then, the vertical light exam, looks at the back of your eye. Check both eyes and was done. Walks me out to reception area and the technician says, "Your co-pay is $25.00 and the prescription exam is $49.00." My jaw dropped, why am I paying for a prescription exam that has always been part of the basic exam. Guess this is our fabulous healthcare at work. Going to check around and see if this is the new standard. Very disappointed that this wasn't mentioned at the start of the exam. Feel like I was ambushed about this, too. I had an issue last year with The EyeDoctors and their billing department. Emailed jessica with a copy of my paid bill, will update my review after corresponding with the EyeDoctors billing department. Oct 10, 2025: I called Blue Cross Customer Service Rep (BCCSR) today. The CSR told me that your office should not have billed me for the Procedure code 92015. The BCCSR is calling your billing department, I told her that she would have to leave a VM, and the BCCSR did have to leave a VM. Per the BCCSR, Blue Cross paid $123.26 to The EyeDoctors, and The EyeDoctors are supposed to write-off $65.74 which would leave the co-pay balance of $25.00. You tried to collect as much of the write-off as possible by charging me $49.00. Shame on you, you need to make it right. Nov 3, 2025 - Still no refund that Blue Cross/Blue Shield said I would be receiving and the local staff from The EyeDoctors confirmed. Guess the check is in the mail.
