Kentucky Eye Institute

This is the most slow place there ever was in existence to not only get an eye exam, but to get glasses ordered. I took my youngest daughter and it took is almost 2.5 hours to just get the exam. Then we had to see the lady in front to order the glasses but she was talking to one of her friends for well over 20 minutes while we waited. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and took my oldest daughter there and took 2 hours for the exam. Get out to order her glasses and the glasses lady is talking her head off to the guy ordering glasses. Being friendly is a must, I get it, but when you have customers waiting that have been in your facility over 2 hours, the polite thing to do would be get the job done and move on to the next in line. I will wait for our appointments at Mackey from now on. This has been absolutely ridiculous. What is so infuriating is how this seems like a normal thing for the staff here. I understand a busy office, which this one was NOT, but this is just unacceptable.

My mom gets shots in her eyes here and they are so gentle and sweet to her here it's a great place

Would give a 1/4 star if I could. Most unprofessional eyecare place i have ever been. They called to confirm an appointment and didn't even have the contacts there. And make sure do not schedule an appointment close to lunch because they will shut down before noon and open after 1 PM. Never going back and YES very very slow pace

I've been visiting KY Eye Institute for years, I've always been well cared for and never had a complaint. In my most recent visit Bethany Perry was added to the staff- she is a literal God send! My work schedule is crazy and she went above and beyond to accommodate me. I had an issue with my frames (100% my fault) and she fixed my issue so fast I didn't even think to call and check on my frames & she was already letting me know they were fixed. I also switched insurance companies when ordering my frames and contacts so I was a difficult customer, she didn't bat an eye just worked a little harder and made me excited for my next visit! I hands down would recommend to all of my family and friends, especially if I knew that Bethany would be taking care of the fitting!

This place is run so inefficiently it is almost unbelievable. I had my eye exam, and I am simply trying to get contacts. I have been trying to do this for a month and a half! There is absolutely zero reason why it should be taking so long. I keep on calling up there trying to check on the order status. They said that they would call me when they are in. That was a week ago. I finally just ended up calling them instead turns out that they had been there for 3 days, and that I could come and get them. I arrive, go in, and they tell me that I need an appointment to check the contacts that I had already ordered! This is the single worst eye doctor I have ever been to. And not by a small margin.

They don't see an issue so to them there's no issue... at least to the 'retina specialist' doc. I have lost half of my vision via diabetes but just because their images don't show anything and i can read some letters from a distance, i have 'perfeft vision'. The retina specialst lady didn't even ask me about my vision either. Perhaps she didn't take me seriously just because i mentioned i'm applying for disability..

This establishment is highly unprofessional. We show up on time for the appointment and are made to wait for 4 hours just to get taking back. They chose people they knew (friends, family,ect) over people that had early appointments. Totally wasted our time like we were just less important. Very rude workers as well.

I LOVE this place and the staff is out of this world GREAT. I have wore glasses for years and this is the only place that I been able to get my glasses and the RX be correct the first time. I have never had to send my glasses back for any adjustments. They get it right the first time. Very thankful for the staff and the sweet Bethany that always makes my day anytime I have to visit their location.
