Amazing staff all around! My vision insurance was not accepted by Cincinnati Children's and I called so many places trying to get my 3 year old an eye exam because I was noticing some issues. No one wanted to see children under 5 (even if their websites stated otherwise). My parents recommended Opticare Fort Mitchell (a 20 minute drive from where we live in Cincinnati) and the lady on the phone was very kind when she scheduled his appointment. She said of course they would see him, no problem. They were able to get him in very quickly too! (I'm sorry I don't recall her name. I believe she was also the one who did his initial exam before the doctor came in. Please give her credit for doing a great job!) The day of his appointment, check-in was easy and everyone was very friendly from the assistant who did his initial exam to the lady who does the ordering and billing. Dr. Young was absolutely amazing with my son and so patient!! He was incredibly thorough in making sure he would get an accurate prescription and helped choose frames to fit his face in a color that he wanted. I am sure working with children that young isn't easy but you guys really do a great job. Thank you! I made appointments for myself and my oldest son as well, even though we aren't in necessarily having issues. I figured we ought to at least get our vision checked. What a great team you have!!

DANGER: They use expired lenses and commit insurance fraud! "DO NOT GO HERE. I visited Opticare Vision Center on Jan 12, 2026. The staff fitted me with trial lenses that expired in JULY 2023 -- over 2.5 years ago! This is a massive safety violation. When I caught this error and asked for a refund of my $110 fee or to speak with the doctor, the administrator refused and pointed me to the door. I had to ask them to call the police to document this medical negligence. I never even saw the doctor to discuss this error, yet they still charged my VSP insurance, stealing my benefits for the entire year. This place is dangerous, unprofessional, and fraudulent. I have photos of the expired packaging and my receipt as proof. If you value your eye health, find a different clinic!" As of January 22, 2026, NO refund has been received, contrary to your public statement. Your response ignores the central issue: you fitted me with Biotrue ONEday lenses that expired in JULY 2023 (LOT W87530395). Using these 2.5-year-old expired lenses, you 'diagnosed' me with astigmatism (Cylinder -1.25) and attempted to sell me new lenses for this condition. My 2025 prescription from a different provider proves I have NEVER had astigmatism. You based a medical diagnosis on faulty, expired supplies. Furthermore, I have video evidence that I was the one who insisted on calling the police to document your refusal to address this safety violation. Labeling a patient's demand for safe care as 'harassment' is a deceptive tactic. VSP insurance has been notified of this medical negligence and the fraudulent use of my benefits

I just had my second eye exam in as many years at Opticare Vision Center. Everyone is always very professional there & their new space is quite nice! The doctors are always kind, patient & more than willing to answer all my questions. Def recommend!

I finally got help for Binocular Vision Disorder after years of struggling. I was able to do vision therapy and get the correct prescription and I'm doing so much better! Dr. Gunn is so caring and all of the staff are very helpful and friendly! Forever grateful for the wonderful care I have received! I recommend them to all my friends and family! Thank you all so much!!

I've been going here for my eyes and glasses for four years. I keep coming back because they have a good selection, staff who are skilled, accommodating and friendly, and the doctor I've seen made a thorough examination seem breezy while answering my many questions. I highly recommend them.

Such an amazing experience! Dr. Young was incredibly patient with our kids, especially our autistic son who usually has a hard time in appointments like this. He felt so comfortable that he even gave Dr. Young a hug on the way out. We are thrilled to have found our go-to place for eye care.

Doctor Gunn is the nicest doctor I have ever met. She takes the time to answer all of your questions and discuss any concerns you may have. I have Keratoconus and wear scleral lenses. I had been seeing a doctor who claims to specialize in hard to fit contacts and vision issues for the last 12 years or so. Wont name him but he's in Burlington. I had many issues with the office and doctor there including trying to overcharge on top of the in-network agreed amount from my insurance. I am so glad I switched to Opticare and Dr. Gunn. The office staff is so friendly too. I had excellent vision with my previous doctor. I just wanted scleral contacts as good the ones I already had but from a doctor that I trust. Dr. Gunn was able to get my vision even better than than what I had before. I have to drive a lot further to get here but its worth it. If you need scleral contacts in Northern KY I urge you to schedule an appointment with Dr. Gunn.

Dr Hogarth was very thorough very kind and explained things very well to me. Showed me my exam pictures Which really helped know what was going on. Really appreciated that.
