Dr. Lee Compton is amazing! Very friendly and explains what's happening with my eyes in a way I could understand. His front staff are very sweet and all of his technicians are great at explaining what they are doing and why. The office is very clean, updated, and has lots of modern technology. Thank you so much!

I've had multiple occasions over the years of having very rude front desk people. Especially when you call with a question. I switched for a while to a different provider because of this, but I liked the Compton & Compton doctor better so came back... Big mistake. Won't be returning.

Be prepared to wait an hour to be seen, after your designated appointment time. The staff seems young, they were just goofing off in the hallway. Never checked on us in the room, either, had to flag someone down. The initial woman who put us in the room forgot about us?

Dr.Steve saw my boyfriend on an emergency visit traveling from Mississippi. Even agreed to check on him the next day to make sure things was better. Staff was nice and helpful...Thanks again Dr. Steve

Dr. Compton was very nice and respectful but some of the staff that answers the phone needs to be a little more respectful when calling to ask if my glasses was in first call was they will be here tomorrow so I call the next day and was told the truck hadn't come yet and was rudely told that they would call when the truck came in that afternoon called again today and was told they have been shipped out and didn't give me time to say anything and hung up! I was told my glasses would be there 5 to 7 days and here it is 10 days I understand things happen but I can't drive until I get my glasses! Just be more kind and understanding will make everyone happy! That's a big part of the job when working with people! You know who you are it's not the doctor it's the staff just saying

We have used Compton & Compton for several years now and always had good service. Until now. Something has changed. They are pushing products for no apparent reason other than to increase the total ticket. For 2 years in a row now Dr Alex has been pushing me to get bifocal contacts. I don't need them and tested as such but he said we are gonna try them anyway... The new front counter person is rude and not very thorough. I paid my bill and asked to pick up the wife's contacts, was given a basic receipt and told to have a good day. Got home and realized I didn't have the contacts. Called back and said receptionist answered and said we close at 5 sharp but will be back Monday. If something doesn't change soon we will be looking for a new provider. Update as of 7/2/25 Went back in today for my yearly exam and had a fantastic visit. Everyone was helpful and professional so I am updating my review to 5 stars. The issues seem to have been corrected and everything is back to normal.

These people are a garbage business they refuse to give me a copy of my daughter's prescription even after it has been paid for because they say that I have a balance of 25 dollars because Dr Compton ordered a follow up only to tell me that he didn't know and referred me to his wife. These are shady business practices and they should be ashamed. Now I have to get my daughter's eyes retested because they will not give me a copy of the prescription that have already paid for.

My husband went to get his annual eye exam here yesterday. Everything went fine and he was getting his glasses. At check out, the receptionist lady said she was going to add stuff on there and discuss it with him at the end. She never did and just told him that the total was $389. He didn't know that this was any different than normal because he had just switched to a new insurance. She didn't give him a receipt, so he went back about 10 minutes later to get one because he thought the price was odd. Turns out that she added on $310 worth of stuff to the lenses without discussing it with him, like different coatings and lens thinning that he did not want. After he receives these glasses, our business will be elsewhere.
