I cannot recommend Dr. Herrell enough for anyone needing cataract surgery. I had both of my eyes done on two separate dates, and the care I received from start to finish was simply outstanding. I was nervous about the procedures, but Dr.Herrell and his team walked me through every step of the process, answering all my questions and putting my mind at ease. The results have been amazing! My vision is clearer, the colors are more vibrant, and I no longer have the glare and haziness that had been affecting my daily life. The surgeries were quick, and my recovery was smooth. The care I received from Dr. Herrell and the entire staff were top-notch. Thank you so much Dr.Herrell for giving me my sight back!!

I had cataract surgery in June of 2015. I was extremely nervous and concerned. I could not have asked for better treatment! The whole staff went out of their way to make me feel at ease. From the very first consultation visit, to my last check-up. The staff made sure I understood everything, answered every question and even help my hand (literally) through the surgery! Dr. Herrell is outstanding and I would recommend him and his staff to everyone! Thank you so much for making a scary procedure as enjoyable as it could possibly be. :)

Horrible wait times, had an appointment at 10 and didn't get seen until lunch. Dr. Herrell only spends about 5 minutes in the room with you and speaks poorly to his staff when patients are in ear shot. I saw only 2 people bringing back a full waiting room of patients, would not recommend.

Experienced an eye injury on a Sunday, and couldn't get into another office in town, being a new patient, and had to make a trip to the er, which was so frustrating. Was then referred by a friend to this office the next day, and I am so glad!!! They were able to get me in within an hour after I called. I was so thankful! I waited for maybe five minutes in the waiting room before the nurse called me back. Dr. Cook was wonderful and helpful, and informed me that I could get ahold of them anytime after hours when needed. Every person I came in contact with was so friendly and helpful. And my eye injury has healed perfectly! Top notch and would recommend to anyone!

Had a unexpected issue with my sight and lost complete vision in one eye. Dr Harrell couldn't have been any nicer or more professional. Can't thank Dr. Harrell and his staff enough for the care and personal attention. We're lucky to have such a great Ophthalmologist here in Hopkinsville, KY.

My daughter, Riley, has a very rare disease called INAD, which has left her completely disabled. And its so rare that most doctors in Hopkinsville are afraid to treat her, which means I spend a great deal of time shuttling her back and forth to Vanderbilt. But when I noticed what I thought to be an abrasion on her iris, he made room for her in his schedule instead of sending her to Vanderbilt ER. He treated her like any other patient and spoke directly to her, while most people direct their questions or statements at me. He was extremely kind and very competent. If you need to see an ophthalmologist, you should choose Dr. Herrell.

Had an urgent problem with shingles affecting eye and was told they were booked for at least a montb. Was told to try somewhere else and given a quick rundown onn other docs to try. It was for wife who has cancer and is very weak. I understand its not there problem and they made that perfectly clear. The star is for caring, not their competance which i dont know, and will never fibd out

Excellence in service is what this service provides. I changed opthamologists to finally have a correct pair of glasses. The prescriptions were right on point. I had cataracts removed with excellent results.
