Blake Isernhagen, MD

I place my full trust in Dr. Blake and Retina Associates of Kentucky. The care I receive has been phenomenal. I have to be seen anywhere from every month to every 4 months depending on if my condition is flaring up. Dr. Blake worked hard to get a more aggressive treatment approved and it is finally working and reducing the number of visits and injections I receive. The staff from check in to check out is always friendly, efficient, and they do a great job. It is a super busy practice and *sometimes* the wait can be a little long but NEVER excessively long. Delays really only happen if my appointment is later in the day. But it definitely isn't because anyone is wasting time, it is only because the doctor is thorough and working hard to provide top notch care to everyone. I have a younger brother that has seen a different doc at Retina Associates for over 20 years. The whole practice has worked tirelessly to save what little vision is left in his remaining good eye. We will be forever loyal to this practice.

RAK is an amazing place for eye care. I've seen several of the doctors there, but then after surgery I saw Dr. Blake Isernhagen exclusively. He did both surgeries on my eyes and was wonderful. The staff are truly caring and wonderful. I would highly recommend RAK for your eye issues. You are in the best hands possible.

I always have a good experience on my visits. The patient flow is good and all techs are very efficient. I hated to see Dr. Wood retire but Dr. Isernhagen is wonderful and so kind. All the receptionists and check-out personnel are polite and friendly as well. Very happy with this Practice.

I was treated with politeness and kindness from the beginning to the end of my appointment by all staff, as well as my doctor, Blake. . I would highly recommend anyone to consider them for quality care.

Impressed with courtesy and professionalism from the Fronf Desk, Technicians, and Dr. Blake. The first time I met him he gave me a diagnosis and promised to take care of me and he did just that. I was scared bc my situation was Emergency! He got me in for surgery the very next day. Checkups were informational and pleasant. I'm still in recovery, but very hopeful of a great recovery.

Dr. Blake is determined to give me my eye sight back even when I had given up. Got another surgery dec 5 and I wouldn't trust anyone else to do it. Blake will be doing surgery soon to recover a 15 year old intraocular lens from my right eye that escaped the sack normally relied on to retain it. A new suturable lens will be installed in its place. Sounds difficult, but I'm confident success is highly likely. I am amazed medicine has come to such a level of expertise. Staff very professional and friendly. Easy to make appointments and little waiting to be seen when in the office. Dr. Blake and staff do an excellent job explaining testing, results and treatment options. Patients are not rushed and are encouraged to ask questions.
