Dr. Kevin Snipes and Associates

Dr Swartzentruber and Dr Kirkpatrick are 2 of these best eye doctors out there! There both very friendly and they always ask about my children which makes this mama so happy to brag about! Ryan and all the assistants are just as good and just as friendly! I always recommend these 2 doctors to everyone I see!

I came in on Monday everyone was so friendly and nice. The lady at the front was with someone but greeted me anyways. Doctor was super friendly and considerate. Short wait times and very clean environment. Came in for a recheck from another office and found I did need a change. I'll be coming back for my yearly again. LensCrafters was also very easy to work with. Would def recommend if you want a place to come where you aren't sitting for long amounts of time.

I have a difficult prescription, but Dr S. listened to my concerns and provided a great solution for my vision problems! And Shawn at LensCrafters's took time to make sure I was getting the best value lenses. As in previous visits, she suggested the perfect frame immediately!

I originally wasn't going to write this review for my visit approximately 2.5 weeks ago, but after today's experience, I feel like others need to know to potentially avoid this place. I'm honestly shocked to see others have had such a positive experience because mine was far from it. From the moment I arrived, the desk staff was cold and stand-offish, as if my being there was an inconvenience to them. This coldness was extended into the time where one of the staff members led me through the machine tests -- I was flatly given minimal instructions and then was, with an annoyed tone, corrected whenever I'd done something wrong. Additionally, I was never told what the tests I was having done were for, leading to me taking a $39 retina exam that I intentionally did not sign the consent form for because I did not want the test! After the exam was finished, I placed an order at the font desk for contacts. I was told that they would be shipped to my house. Now that it's been 17 days since my appointment, I called the office to get an update on the shipment. After a long pause, I was told that they were on their way and that they would arrive in a few days. A few minutes after we got off the phone, I got an automated text from the office thanking me for my order and providing a link for order details, showing that the order had just been placed today! So I've been waiting 2.5 weeks for contacts to arrive (which I am currently out of) that were never even ordered. I'm 100% sure that if I hadn't called, they never would have been ordered, even though I already paid for them! So yeah, the physician I saw was friendly and helpful. But the poor job done by the few people I've interacted with at the front desk means that I won't be returning, and I suggest that you don't either.

Everything was going very well until the very end at checkout when I asked for File copies of the examination of my eyes. I was instead handed printed paper copies, which had a very poor resolution. I always collect copies of my medical and dental documentation which I meticulously store locally at home. I am hoping that the process can be improved to either supply a hardcopy on dvd, or email, Quality copies of my exam directly to me In the future.

The lady upfront was excellent and so was the Doctor. Explained everything in detail and spoke about options. I would have given 5 stars except for rude front end male associate.

They require an undisclosed retinal scan and charge an additional amount to your copay for it. You cannot decline the scan, even though it is not medically necessary in most cases. My insurance is through EyeMed which, like Lens Crafters, is owned by Luxottica. I'm not sure if this is a Lens Crafters or Snipes policy, but either way it's just a naked corporate cash grab. Additionally, the office staff was rude and unprofessional. Jessica Crum that did my exam was actually really good, however. The adjacent Lens Crafters storefront didn't seem to have time for me, so I'll just be ordering my glasses online, instead. Luxottica/EyeMed/Lens Crafters suck, my experience here was poor, and hopefully Dr. Crum can move to a better practice in the future.

Was sent 2 emails and text messages to pick up contacts. Drove 2 hours one way to pick up & was THEN told I'd have to have an appointment. Nothing in the email mentions that...Then, refused to finalize Rx for a local clinician. Wife's contacts were not ordered day of appointment either.
