Dr. Kevin Snipes and Associates

We were on vacation from out of state and my daughter had an eyelash stuck in her eye that we couldn't get out. The whole experience from calling in to see if they could help to actually seeing Dr. Daniel Kenner and getting the eyelash out was excellent. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful and Dr. Daniel Kenner was kind, friendly, patient, understanding and gave excellent care. In a day when customer service is so poor, I felt the need to praise this offices excellent customer care! Thank you!

I have been going to this office for several years and had been happy with the care. I made an appt for today and it was mistakenly cancelled by one of their staff (no one knew why or how it happened). They said they would still "fit me in" yet after waiting almost 80 mins, I still had not been seen by the doctor. I was passed up several times and I heard the male doctor say something about me being a "walk in" and going to the next patient. Despite telling the front staff that I did NOT cancel the appt, I was still being treated as though they were doing me a favor to "fit me in." I finally offered to pay for what I had received and they said I did not have to. I took off work early to get this appointment taken care of and now I have to start from scratch. They were very busy and the office felt chaotic. The one saving grace is the two people at the front desk were very nice and were doing their best. I am a doctor and know what good patient care looks like and this did not hit the mark. Unfortunately, they lost my business.

I have been a patient at this office for many years and have always been satisfied with their service. I've recommended this office to many people because of the excellent care I've received in the past. However, after my visit yesterday, I don't think I will return. From the moment I arrived, the experience was disappointing. The staff at the front desk were incredibly rude, unprofessional, and argumentative. They questioned me about not having my ID, even though I've been a long-time patient, and my doctor knows me well. Asking unnecessary questions like how I got to the office felt intrusive and inappropriate. It's none of their business, and it added to my frustration. When I attempted to leave a note about their rude behavior on the paperwork I was asked to sign, they threw it away and made me fill out a new form. This felt dismissive, as if they were trying to hide feedback from management. During the tests, the staff showed no courtesy--no "please" or "thank you." Their tone was abrupt and impolite. As someone receiving care, I expect basic respect and professionalism, especially in a customer-facing role. To make matters worse, as I left, I overheard them making fun of me. This was deeply upsetting and unprofessional. The only reason I've stayed with this office is because my doctor is excellent--the best ophthalmologist I've ever had. She is kind, knowledgeable, and professional. I trust her completely, but unfortunately, the current staff's behavior makes it impossible for me to continue visiting this office. I've decided to travel to another location where my doctor also works, even if it takes me an extra hour or more, just to avoid dealing with this team. I hope management addresses this issue and trains their staff to treat patients with the respect they deserve."

I came into the office nearly 2 months ago and was grateful to find an optometrist on a Sunday. I lost contacts the previous week and needed to order new ones ASAP. The visit was $219-I was told this included the eye exam AND the contacts. They then told me it would be 4-6 weeks until the contacts came in- it took 8! Today, I picked up my new contacts-the Dr. insisted on doing an exam to "make sure they fit" First time in 50 years of wearing contacts that this has ever happened. Then, once that was finished, the Dr. walked me up front where they told me I owed $284 for the contacts-$284 for gas perms! When I told them about my initial visit , they said I misunderstood-that $219 was just for a FITTING! So, here I now sit having paid $500 for a pair of gas perms contacts. This place is a SCAM-they are running a shell game here and they are affiliated with Lenscraftwrs. I will never go back there and if you read this and go there, buyer beware. These people are taking money from unsuspecting patients that rust them I was completely misled.

I want to start by saying the service was great. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the optometrist did a great job answering all my questions. So if you have normal health insurance or the money, this place is great. However, this is the second time I have gone to an Optometrist in Lexington and been told they take Medicaid, only to find out later they don't. They assured me they took medicaid when I asked, yet I just got an envelope from insurance months later telling me they won't cover anything because "provider is not certified under the medicaid program". Why would you tell me you take medicaid if clearly you don't? Very frustrating and not sure why this seems to be a common issue.

Just when I thought that the Patient Care and the doctor's office experience is completely went away. This office has convinced me otherwise. I never felt so welcomed and important as a patient as I did in this office today. The staff is wonderful was able to answer every question I had. The doctor was wonderful had a wonderful attitude. Paying attention and answering questions. I didn't feel like I was being rushed out of the office. Is all my concerns were addressed. If you are looking for in office that you would like to continue to go back after service I highly recommend This office. Wonderful service and a great experience.

The office staff were very professional, kind, and courteous. I went early for my appointment, they went ahead and took me back. Dr Snipes was very friendly, thorough, and informative. He answered all my questions, and explained everything very well.

The office and staff were great! The visit was thorough, I felt cared about and it was very quick. I didn't however like how I was escorted to the other side immediately. There wasn't much time to process what was going on. Everyone was nice, but I would have liked to just come in for an office visit and not felt like I had to go directly to buy glasses.
