I saw him twice before and my family had appointments but today I'm finally giving a review not of his services but of his behavior while I was in the optical center of Costco today. He came in I guess earlier in the day to take a number to put his patient in line but his patient wasn't ready. My son and I were in the middle of placing our order for my son's glasses and he tried to get the technician to stop what he was doing to get his person immediately taken care of. He literally looked at me and said "you'll be next." I didn't understand what was happening at the time luckily because I hadn't given him that much attention because a few other customers had interrupted our task to see if they just could leave their number to be called when they were able to fit them in, since he wasn't wearing any Costco items such as a name tag or vest I thought he was just another customer. It was only after my son and I left that my son explained he tried to bump us. That is horrible customer service, not by Costco, but by Dr. Majackey. You don't do that, trying to cut in line. I don't do appointments with him anymore because I didn't like how he spoke to patients when we saw him and with today's interaction I know I wasn't sensitive to how he spoke to me but how he behaves as a person. Maybe he was trying to provide great customer service in his mind but he's not a part of their store he just has an office attached and that was awful rude to take over a transaction like that, and my son heard him say "we do this all the time" to our tech and us. That is not great customer service, it's hubris.

I went to optical chain stores for eye exams for years since I thought my routine nearsightedness was easy to diagnose and treat... but after one visit to Dr. Majakey I realized how much difference a knowledgeable and attentive doctor can make. He's taken time to do a thorough examination every time I've visited him, and given me insights (ha) that other professionals wouldn't or couldn't provide. He's a gem--outside my healthcare network, but my eye doctor for life. Highly recommended.

On a whim I went to Cosco in Lexington Kentucky and stopped in to schedule an eye exam. I have worn glasses for about 5 yrs and wanted to try contacts again. My past experience with wearing contacts in the past was not a great one. I struggle with getting them in & the prescription never seemed rough l right. Dr. Majakey got it PERFECT!!! He was very accommodating, entertaining, friendly, patient & obviously excellent at what he does! I highly recommend him. Thank you Dr. M!

Professional and personable. Did a terrific job improving my prescriptions for bifocal contacts and glasses. It's a standard eye exam supplemented with some sophisticated technical electronic devices. If you want to use a vision insurance plan, call to see if he participates in that plan.

Great place to go. Very affordable and Dr. Lee Majackey and his wife are very efficient and will guarantee a quality job within a timely manner. I am a struggling college student and when I had trouble paying for my eye exam, they were extremely understanding and accommodating. Great people and a great place!

I must say it was the worst exam I have ever had. He made everything seem blury and then told me I had cateracts. He proceeded to tell me he has a friend who does cateract surgery. Sounded like he was drumming up business for the friend. I got antoher opinion , I do not have cateracts and do not need surgery.

The only Dr that found my condition that altered my vision. Epiretintal membrane. I went to Dr's for years but this Dr was the only one who found out what my problem was. So thankful for his skill. Appreciate him and his wife who runs the practice. Thank God for them

Too hard to make an appointment. Offer online appts like many others do. Do not want to leave messages and wait for call back next day.
