This place is terrible. There is always an hour or longer wait - once I waited past 5 and finally left an hour and half of waiting and never got seen. The front desk staff is inept, doesn't understand how to process insurance. This last time was the last time I'll ever go there as my son waited 3 week for his glasses we ordered only for me to have call them twice - not them call me like it should be- to find out the lady didn't ever order them because she was confused about the insurance. Are you kidding me? It's on the file! Then I tell her I'll be by to pick up a copy of the prescription and cancel the glasses. When I arrived at 3:27 the office was closed even though the hours state open until 5pm. Unreal. Good luck!

I have been going to Dr. Wachs since moving to Lexington in 2008, and always gotten the best service and value. The staff is very courteous and helpful and they do everything they can to get you the best price on your contacts.

I like Dr Wachs. I have been seeing him yearly for many years now. He takes the time to do a good thorough exam. He is super nice to talk to and can explain things in a way I (not being a Doctor) understand. If I asked questions he explains the answer well They are easy to schedule with and located in an easy to get to location.

Great Doctor. Spent a lot of time. Was patient with questions and did his best to help us (my wife and me) find the best solution to our vision needs. I would recommend him to anyone.

Had to move on. I really believe it's a staffing problem. But nonetheless a problem. Inaccuracies. Have to call them to follow up numerous times. And ended up spending hundreds of dollars on a pair of glasses I can't see out of. Frustrating, time consuming and disregard for my money.

Had extremely bad experience. They filed in correct claim without my approval which led me to loose my vision benefits for the whole year. Even after multiple calls and requests they did not corrected it

Very nice staff and doctor. Very thorough and patient. On time, answered all questions, very personable, and did not rush. Glad my insurance referred me to him.

Easily Lexington's best optometrist. Very friendly staff, professional doctor, nice selection of frames. 5/5
