BJs optical was a unique experience. They do telehealth for their eye doctor. It was pretty smooth, but a little sticker shock for purchase of glasses. But as they say you get what you pay for and the glasses I picked out were very durable and felt well made. I think for sure I do the eye exam there again, but maybe go online to order the next time. I did that with my first 2 sets I bought about 3 years ago.
Not only do they have the type of glasses I like - a rare frameless drill-through style,
They have great options for add-ons, quick service, incredible deals, and best of all,
They have friendly, professional, and knowledgeable staff. The kind that don't hard sell you; they earn your trust.
I speak as a businessman myself.
Top quality.
May their pricing and service be preserved as an industry Gold standard.
Gabby was awesome! She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful throughout the whole process. They don't do eye dilation so if you need that you'll have to go to a eye doctor's office.
Everyone was so nice, patient and very helpful. The technician took her time and did not rush me through the process. It was an extremely thorough exam. The woman that had helped me pick out my glasses and sunglasses really understood my style and what I was looking for. She nailed it. I will definitely be going back next year
While the staff were very friendly, there were some omissions of very important information that would have deterred me from using their services.
They do not accept insurance, and I didn't know that until after my eye exam was completed - leaving me with the bill. Thankfully I was able to pay for it, but was not pleased that I had to considering I have insurance. With most vision insurances, eye exams are covered in full, so I wouldn't have chosen them had I known. They seemed confused when I told them that no one told me that they don't accept insurance, so I imagine that info just fell through the cracks - needless to say, that's vital information to omit by accident.
Secondly, there was a mixup with my appointment which left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. I was originally scheduled for 10:30 on a Monday - for which I had to take time off of work to attend. I received a voicemail on Saturday morning saying my appointment needed to be rescheduled as there were no doctors available at that time. Anyways, I continued with my weekend, and planned to call back on Monday to reschedule. Monday around 10:45 I get a call and the gentleman I spoke with said 'you had an appointment at 10:30 this morning, have your circumstances changed?' I responded with the info of the voicemail, and he said 'ohhh, I must've forgotten to call you back.' So, apparently the doctor was available for my original appointment time but at that point I'd already missed my appointment. He asked if I could still come, and unfortunately at that point, I'd reversed my PTO as I thought my appointment needed to be rescheduled, so I wasn't able to come in.
All in all, felt a little disorganized and not sure I'd recommend to anyone considering they don't accept insurance. I did, however, get a copy of my prescription, so I can take that and get glasses elsewhere.
My experience was about , the treatment was great and the quality was the best I recommend it
