Run. After being a patient of the retired Dr last year at the Dixie Hwy Clarkson Eye Care, I had the misfortune of waiting a half hour for a really nasty young woman who I said under patient rights I did not want the puff in the eye testing. I was asked to explain and she couldn't do the eye test without. She said I should go elsewhere as she had done this for 10 years. My spouse was told she couldn't get lenses on Medicare. I walked out. We are a former long term patients of Clarkson.

Seamed to bree polite and caring. Did not try to sell me something I didn't want, I appreciate that. Would recommend.

Absolutely terrible experience with Clarkson Eyecare. After receiving four separate confirmation text messages, I showed up for my scheduled appointment--only to be told the doctor I was supposed to see had quit over a year ago and I'd need to reschedule. No one bothered to update their system or notify me beforehand. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and returned three weeks later for the rescheduled appointment. At that point, they informed me they no longer accepted my insurance and would not be seeing me as a patient anymore. Total lack of communication, disorganization, and disregard for patients' time. I won't be going back--and I strongly suggest you don't waste your time either.

The doctor and staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful when assisting patients. The available technology used for various testing purposes is critically important to monitor and maintain eye health.

I will never go to them again I will say that the exam was good but when I went to pick up my glasses they took them out of the shipping bag and never cleaned them and didn't even have them in a case I had to ask for one plus they never checked to see if they fit right or make sure that the bifocals were right and they didn't give me a cleaning cloth all they did was hand me my glasses and said have a good day and everywhere else I have been has always made sure my glasses fit right and made sure that my bifocals were in the right placement and I was very disappointed with the after service and the way they treated me I will never go there again and I filed a report with the BBB and I have called the main office and was told I have to deal with the location that I got my exam and glasses at in which I don't want anything else to do with them so beware of the valley station branch beside Kroger

Paid for regular and sunglasses on July 18, 2025. No one ever called after the 14 day time it was supposed to take to get glasses. After almost 3 weeks I was told (I called) glasses were ready for pickup. Drove to store -- no sunglasses and regular glasses were wrong. I was told glasses would be remade and that sunglasses frames were not available until end of October and that I should pick out new frames. I called two weeks later and was told glasses should be there later that day and sunglasses were in final inspection and I should be able to get them in a few days. That was last Friday. I called today and was told my glasses were ready. Drove to store to pick up my glasses and tried on regular ones. Looked for sunglasses and was told they were not there. I asked for refund on sunglasses and said I would pay for them if they ever came in. Another person came to front, kept my regular glasses that I paid for six weeks ago, then credited my credit card for both pairs and would not let me have refund on sunglasses and keep glasses that were in store! Now, I have a credit on my card that I already paid and still no glasses. I have to start all over again after I make sure the insurance portion has been cancelled or I won't have that to help pay for more glasses. If I didn't need new glasses, I wouldn't have bought new glasses! But, someone got to have my money for 6 weeks while I have nothing! Will not be returning to this company again. Why they would not just refund the sunglasses I will never understand.

I thought everyone was exceptionally nice.. 5 stars on the niceness. But the one pair of glasses cost $425.00, which seemed very high, including a cheaper frame and after a $100 discount from my Humana card. To be fair, though, I hadn't been to an eye doctor for roughly 10 years.
