Went to Vision First to get work safety glasses. The overall experience was okay, and most of the staff were nice and helpful. However, I had an issue with my eye insurance, and while I was trying to figure it out, one of the front desk staff seemed visibly irritated--even though no one was behind me in line. It wasn't like I was holding anyone up. A little patience and courtesy would've made a big difference. Aside from that, the rest of the team was professional and friendly.

They have always been fantastic at VisionFirst. I have gotten multiple corneal ulcers while working in my plumbing career and each time Dr. Adams and Dr. Hinely were able to see me quickly, diagnose the issue immediately, and properly recommend and prescribe the necessary medications to treat the corneal ulcers that I had. Dr. LaLonde has been fantastic with helping me get my prescription for my contacts and my glasses. The doctors and staff at VisionFirst on Hurstbourne Parkway have been excellent in all aspects for me in every interaction I've had with them there over the years.

My Optometrist is the best and the whole Staff treat you with professionallism with a smile. They listen to you and help answer questions. Most Doctors don't take time to really listen, they do.

Great experience with the crew at Vision First - Hurstbourne. Shoutout to Jaci for being so nice during the Pre-testing and to Dr.Adams Explaining the Exam Effectively. Result: I have great eyes, but I don't need good eyes to see they have great service!

Dr and exam were ok. Was escorted to sales person who added all of the "extras" to my glasses without even mentioning them. Got home to my itemized receipt and there they were. Pickup up my "work space" glasses today. Get them back to the office and vision is worse than my sight without them. $450 waste of time and money. Update: David the manager called after my review and did try to help. He tried a different prescription and had the new glasses in about 2 weeks. Fair enough. I do appreciate the effort but still not working for me. I'll get in touch and see if there is anything else they can try.

I brought my daughter in for her Kindergarten eye screener. The staff was very patient and did a great job explaining what they were trying to test. Dr. Riggs was excellent! She was very professional, knowledgeable and personable. She eased my daughters nerves and was very efficient. Highly recommend!

I don't usually like doing ugly reviews. But the incompetents is unreal. I broke my glasses which I was already wearing a very old prescription and I stated that many times to each employee. The Dr was great Dr. Riggs was very professional and helpful. So I go on to pick out my glasses and everything. Of course they try to do their add ons and and trying to make my bill $300. I say hold up. I don't make much money. I want my single vision and I can take my glasses off to read. She does the measurements and all. So I leave thinking I got to wait 10 to 15 days. What happened to same day or next couple days pick up. Idk I call back after 8 days to check because I'm desperately needing these glasses and I am told their was no order for my glasses... Ummm what. Why with no explanation why. Im angry at this point biting my tongue. Just a run around. Now I don't have a car. If I go to work and leave early to go there. I ride tarc. That is 6 hours on the bus. Done missed one day and 6 hour bus ride. They tell me to come back in. Ummm I can't take off to come back in. Number one I can't afford it. But to them no big deal come on in. Because my measurements weren't recorded. Ummm. Again why? Why? I went online and did my own PD I PRAY IT'S RIGHT. I went through a online company that dont take my insurance and the only online my insurance covers is a long wait too. So I paid out of pocket for a cuter pair of glasses and paid $20 for next day shipping. I've been through so much in life and no one can do their job to make life a little bit easier. Why can't people just do their jobs.

I recently contacted Vision First regarding a bill I received that I did not understand. I spoke with David, who referenced a "coverage paper" that I was unfamiliar with and stated that my insurance did not cover the procedure. I then reached to the billing department and spoke with Donna, who reiterated that my insurance did not cover it and dismissed the concern. At no point did either David or Donna contact my insurance provider to verify coverage. I ultimately called my insurance myself and confirmed (with the procedure code Donna provided) that the procedure is in fact covered at a significant percentage, meaning the amount Vision First attempted to bill me was incorrect. It was extremely frustrating to have to do the legwork that should have been handled by the office, especially while being dismissed by both staff members instead of having my concerns taken seriously. This experience was compounded when I was also told I would be charged $45 for my daughter's checkup for the same issue the day I was there asking about it in person. Due to the lack of professionalism, poor customer service, and failure to properly verify insurance coverage, I will no longer be bringing my family of five to this establishment. Accurate billing and respectful communication should be standard, and unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
