Visionworks Doctors of Optometry

Everyone was great and professional at their job. The Bardstown area is now my new location to start going to. If there was just one thing they could be better at is the selection of glasses to choose from. When your old glasses you really get used to and really love, it's hard to find that same frame. I wish you could order it instead of settling for what's available. I would go back to be fitted later once they came in.

Worst experience of my life. When we arrived we waited in the lobby for 20 minutes. The whole time the employees were talking crap about there other co worker because they took a sick day then then one employee was stalking her social media figured out that she went to Nashville even tho she said she was sick. They were very unprofessional everyone in the lobby could hear the 4 employees talking crap. I took my daughter for a eye exam for contacts the lady that helped my daughter with the air machine and took her pictures of her eyes was very professional and did a great job. The eye doctor also did very good very professional. The problems started when my daughter was trying on her contacts. The first guy did not tell my daughter to wasg her hands first I had to tell her. The guy proceeds to touch my daughters contact she's putting on without washing his hands DISGUSTING. The guy was rushing us the whole time was very unhelpful. Then he left and another employee came over to help and the other guy left. The new employee was very very impatient was rushing us then the eye doctor came over with someone else that needed to try on contacts. He had an attitude saying he can't do two at one time he has before but he doesn't like it. So he told them that they would have to wait because my daughters going to be a while my daughter felt rushed the whole time they made her very uncomfortable. Then the guy said we were taking to long that she has been trying then on for and hour and it had only been 35 minutes because he was ready to do the next person. This is my first time coming to visionworks since I was a kid they were really good when I went when I was younger. I will not ever go back to another visionworks the rest of my life.

Dr. Moats was very knowledgeable and friendly, ready and able to determine the appropriate lenses for my needs. Roxanne was patient with me and helped me find frames that fit perfectly. She worked through the paperwork with getting precisely what I needed.

Check-in process and eye exam were great. When we went to purchase the contacts, the provider/clerk/vendor was miss informed regarding my contact credit. When I said I should have a create just kept saying you don't. This company takes my eye insurance and the credit should be there, he did nothing to find out. I took my script to Costco and got the credit. For future reference please check when the customer says we should get one. I did not put up an argument, I guess I should have. Thank you. Andrea P

I don't even know how to start this review. I had such an awful experience with them. They were very very rude and they give me my glasses on March 3 and on March 4. I took them back because they wasn't working for me and the little guy working in there I don't know what his name was. He was just very nasty popped those lenses out that I just paid almost $300 for and threw them in the garbage and said he'd only give me a part of my money back, which he did, but the experience was awful. I will never ever go back to Visionworks and never recommend them to anyone. They did not care about glasses not being right for me.

Terrible experience. Dr. Moats could care less. Zero bedside manner. Took 10 minutes for someone to even acknowledge me in the lobby. I can see other recent reviews have shared the same experience.

Dealing with VisionWorks Fern Creek has been a bit of a mixed bag. Dr. Moates was very thorough and professional during the exam, and I appreciated his friendly manner. As far as I can tell, he got my prescription pretty much spot on. I say "pretty much" because I have yet to get a usable pair of eyeglasses from VisionWorks. I'm currently on the third re-do because of mistakes (Tomorrow it will have been exactly one month since my initial order, and I STILL have no usable new glasses. Luckily, I can still wear my old ones, so I'm not totally screwed.). I'm pretty sure that this will be the LAST time I buy my glasses from VisionWorks! I never had this problem at Walmart... UPDATE: The 3rd remake was ALSO wrong, so I returned the glasses for a refund. I'm done with VisionWorks!

Excellent service. I was treated very well during my visit to Vision World by Adam Crowder the man who took care of my transaction. He adjusted my old pair of glasses for me, and assisted me in selecting new glasses. I highly recommend Vision Works for anyone needing eye glasses.
