I just picked up my glasses and prescription sun glasses this afternoon. They are perfect. It was a great experience from beginning to the end. Especially Dave that helped tighten my glasses. He was very nice, helpful and professional. We had a good chat.

I have had contacts for 40 years. I have never had n eye doc spend so much time explaining EVERY detail of my eye exam! Dr K is the BEST. I usually don't do reviews but this place is the exception. Friendly staff, normal pricing, above and beyond any care I have had before.

I just got my first pair of bifocals and they are fantastic. The staff here is fantastic. And my special friend Cynthia always makes me feel at home. I enjoy going to this place very much!!!

My husband and I visited Vision First in Shelbyville, Kentucky, on January 2nd, arriving at 9 a.m. We were greeted upon entry, and I brought three pairs of glasses to see about getting new lenses for one pair. The staff member assisting me suggested we use my blue and brown Coach glasses, which I purchased before COVID-19. I had only worn these glasses for about a year before cataract surgery changed my prescription, and they had been stored safely in a case ever since. The staff member commented that she was unsure if new lenses could be added due to some wear around the earpiece. She also mentioned that this might be against Vision First's policy, and they may be unable to work on it. I explained that the glasses had only been worn for a year and that the "wear" she mentioned was likely makeup residue, which I quickly scraped off with my fingernail. The staff member then took my insurance information and started providing me with a quote for the new lenses. She mentioned that once her colleague beside her was finished assisting another customer, she would ask her to examine my frames further to determine whether they could be used. She added that her colleague had previously worked in a lab and would be able to tell. When the colleague finally looked at the frames, I was shocked to see her forcefully snap the earpiece, breaking it. Instead of stopping, she continued and snapped the other side as well, breaking the frame in two places. She then looked at me and said, "That should not have happened." While the broken frames are technically still usable if taped, this was unexpected, unnecessary, and completely unacceptable. Breaking one part could have been an accident, but breaking both earpieces felt deliberate and careless. Breaking them right in front of me felt like I was being scammed because of my age, as though they assumed I wouldn't question it. This behavior felt manipulative, unprofessional, and deceitful. At that point, I decided to leave immediately. I have since purchased new lenses using my Gucci frames from a different vision-wear vendor. They treated me with respect and did not damage my Gucci frames, which are about five years older than the Coach glasses. They explained that when adding lenses, no pressure is ever applied to the earpieces. If adjustments are needed, they are done in-store. They also noted that if glasses fit fine before the lenses are installed, there should not be any issues. My Gucci frames fit perfectly, as did my Coach frames prior to this incident. I have provided pictures so you can see the damage. I strongly urge management to investigate this incident and ensure customers' property is treated carefully and respectfully. This experience has profoundly disappointed and frustrated me, and I would not recommend this location based on my experience.

From check in to check out I had a pleasant experience. I am kinda complex and have to have extra test ran due to a medication I take. The staff treated me with respect and kindness the entire appointment. I would recommend Vision First to anyone in need of an eye doctor. Take a bow my friends you all are wonderful!!

As always very comfortable environment. Very helpful and direct and to the point on what is going on with my eyes in regards to their health. Always enjoy the visits and the conversation.
