Today has been 4 weeks since I was there. I ordered my glasses and still have not been notified that they were in. In the past I never had this problem. 7 to 10 days is what i was told.. Seems i just keep getting the runaround when I called to check on them. Last time I checked i was told the lens were on backorder because whoever makes them were out. This is totally unacceptable and unprofessional. I saw other posts that had basically the same issue. They could have contacted me and kept me informed. I think they should find another vendor for glasses. I don't think I will ever go back for glasses.
This eye care clinic provides best treatment. All staff members are very cooperative and Dr Karl McClanahan is very humble, kind, professional and knowledgeable. He takes care of his patients throughly and spends enough time to take care of patients.
Two of the front office staff are rude and really need training. They need to learn how to talk in a friendly manner to new patients. One front office girl was nice and tried to help. Unfortunately, the front office staff do not want to be bothered when you walk in the door and they act like they don't know what they're doing when you ask them questions. The eye doctor gets paid very well for services. Customers do not want to walk in there and feel like they are not wanted! Be sure to bring ID and insurance card. The front desk staff will turn you away if you do not have it.This is ridiculous! The doctor needs to address staff behavior.
The last time I was there was not a fair way to judge the performance becaws the internet went down and everyone was Leary of snowy / icy roads.
Today, after years of coming to this business for eye care, I left due to an unfortunate and completely unnecessary event that involved the front desk. I can't believe we allow people to treat our customers this way. Businesses should really take note how their front desk presents themselves. It is the first impression and can cost a business revenue. Apparently, some businesses do not need this revenue in healthcare as much as others because instead of trying to work with and help the patient navigate the issue, they lie and tell you it is a "law". Unfortunately for this business, I work in healthcare, and my job is to know the "laws." So, when someone lies to you thinking you are too ignorant to know better, that is sometimes their biggest mistake. It is unfortunate for me as the customer who takes off work to be at an appointment, and I simply will not give my hard earned money to a business that allows their front desk to act in this manner.
Liars, crooks, and thieves. I went in to get an exam and two pair of glasses. Before I order two pair of glasses, I asked if I would get a second pair half off. They, of course, explain to me that certain ways it would be in certain ways it would not, but assured me that if I bought one pair of glasses, then the less expensive pair would be half off. I go in for a third time to place the order for my sunglasses because the first pair I ordered have been discontinued. I asked them again before ordering another pair of sunglasses if they are buy one get 1/2 off, and the store tells me that they are going to be 30% off. I explain that's not what I have been told on my other visits, but I ordered the glasses anyway. A couple weeks later I go to pick up my glasses, that should be 50% off, only to find out that I was lied to every visit, and I will be expected to pay the full $660 for my glasses that I only agree to purchase based on the discounted price. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of lovely girls who work here, that I was lied to repeatedly by the woman in the back corner with white hair. On top of that, during the same transaction, I stop by to pick up my new $600 Oakley's. The woman in the back hand them to me and says them on the desk in front of me, pretending not to notice, they are horribly twisted. I specifically asked to have new frames, and this woman took the frames off the shelf that have been dropped in abused as a display in the store, ignored my request to use new frames only, and then expected me to be happy with this. I put the glasses on my face, and once I was literally 1 inch higher than the other side. This woman actually looked at me and pretended like she could not see the glasses sitting diagonally across my face. And of course, she was being rude to me because I pointed out the incredibly obvious damage merchandise that they expected me to take. I can't think of any time in my 36 years on this planet where I have been so blatantly lied to by any type of medical staff at any type of establishment.
The best place to go if you want a thorough exam, friendly staff and a great selection of frames !!!
Terrible Service. Their reminder text message told me to get there 15 minutes early and they are closed for lunch. Then they take me back to a room to sit for 40 minutes. The lights eventually go out because they are on a timer. I finally had to leave to go back to work. The sad thing is that they did the same thing to me 3 years ago at my last appt and I decide to go back. I should have known better.
