Ms. Alicia was so very helpful and sweet to me. I merely came in to see if she could repair the arm on my glasses, as I really need them to see well and they had been held up by a piece of tape. Not only did she repair them, she went above and beyond by cleaning the lenses, tightening them and getting the goo off from the tape I had used. I was fully expecting to pay and she informed me that it would be no charge. I am so very grateful for her and the kindness she displayed.

I have been a loyal customer of the Optical Shoppe for at least 7 years. I have purchased a few Oliver Peoples sunglasses and shouldn't be surprised at the exceptional service Cindy and her staff delivers, but they have always exceeded my expectations. To leave this review, I had to upgrade to the Google+ feature. I usually avoid signing up for these social networking sites, but did so to express my appreciation to Cindy and to help others find great eye wear with incomparable customer service. This review has been a long time overdue. I'm please to finally write this for such a deserving local business.

I shop locally because of people like Ms. Cindy Waters, the owner of this fine business. She and her associate were helpful, friendly, and very knowledgeable. The optical shoppe had multiple sales running on several different brands, and a wide selection of both sunglasses and prescription frames. I spend my money at local business because it feels like I'm actually helping another person and her family. So if you want excellent customer service and great deals, go to The Optical Shoppe. I was given a 50% off coupon by the Optical Shoppe that boldly states no expiration date, and now they won't honor it. I was told that the store was under new ownership and they would only be willing to give me 10% off. If they changed the name I could understand, but they didn't. The same name that's on my 50% off is still the name of the store. On top of that the owner seems like a bored housewife that decided she wanted a hobby. The previous owners where great, I promise that the new owner isn't even in the same class. Their are plenty of options when looking for glasses. The Optical Shoppe shouldn't be on your list.

I bought my first pair of eyeglasses from The Optical Shoppe 25 years ago. Since then they have survived while others failed. I always felt like they knew what they were doing and they wanted me to get the right frames for the shape of my face. I always got compliments on the glasses I bought there. The owner, Cindy Waters, wants to make sure you look your best so that you will come back. She has a loyal following that took decades to develop. I want to know that if I an going to spend money that the staff is going to look after my best interests. Lastly Cindy always makes sure to have frames that are more advanced than other stores. If you can, make sure you meet Cindy so she will know who you are. You are likely to work with her for many years.

I was skeptical of the 4.9 stars at first, now I see that they have earned them. They have the best selection of high-quality and great looking glasses in Baton Rouge, and service to match. They had a very wide selection picked out a beautiful pair of glasses that fit me impeccably. They said it would take two weeks and I think they had them back in seven or eight days. The real reason for the 5 stars is that I had a problem with the prescription, my eye doctor changed it and it was too strong. They took the glasses back with no questions and changed out the lenses and got them back to me in a week. I will not go anywhere else in Baton Rouge from now on. Thanks again!

I was totally ignored! I was waiting to purchase a pair of $329.00 sunglasses. Not once did the lady offer help! That's okay, I can purchase elsewhere. Sorry, if I "look" like I can't afford it. I Will NEVER go back!

The Optical Shoppe is very convenient. They have a large selection of stylish and affordable eye wear from some of the top brands such as Oliver Peoples, Paul Smith, Ray Ban, Tom Ford, Maui Jim, Tory Burch, Dita, and more. The sales people are extremely knowledgeable with all the brands and prescription lenses. They can do adjustments to frames so everything fits just right. Everyone is inviting and friendly. There is no pressure or pushiness. The best local eye wear shop in Baton Rouge.
