Walmart Vision & Glasses

RE: Huge thank you to: Walmart Vision Center 2132 College Dr. Baton Rouge, LA 70808 First impressions matter, and the Walmart Vision Center immediately impressed me with its bright and clean atmosphere. Plus, everyone was welcoming and friendly. I'd brought my new prescription from my own ophthalmologist, so Jasmine was the young lady who patiently helped me. We selected frames, and she meticulously wrote up my order, including the add-ons I wanted-- anti-scratch coating, transition lens that darken in sunlight, and I wanted to try progressive lens for both reading and distance vision. (I wasn't sure my eyes would cooperate.) When the glasses arrived, I returned for the fitting. I was very pleased by the frames and the significant improvement in my distance vision compared to my previous pair. However, I was rather shocked to realize I couldn't read with the progressive lens at all! Jasmine quickly alerted her manager, Ms. Angelina Turner, who joined us. Ms. Turner was friendly, knowledgeable, and very professional. It later turned out that she has over a decade of experience in the business. I explained the issue to her, stating that I could see well with the upper, distance part of the lens, but I was unable to read with the reading portion. I assured her that I wasn't upset and simply wanted to understand how to procede. Ms. Turner double-checked the order as sent in and confirmed there were no errors. She then suggested making some minor adjustments that had been successful for other customers in similar situations. However, she also recommended that I take the glasses home for 2-3 days to see if my eyes would adjust. Made sense. I agreed to her suggestion and took the glasses home. After a few days, I realized I would simply do better if I did not include the reading part of the lens. Determined to resolve the issue, I returned to complete the transaction with Ms. Turner. She suggested one last thing -- a noticeable bifocal line, rather than the invisible one, which might help with reading. However, at that point, I was concerned that it might be more disruptive to me. So, I asked if I could simply get the lens redone without the reading lens, but with everything else. Distance vision was the most important capability to me. Surprisingly, Ms. Turner agreed to reorder the glasses with the add-ons I wanted, without the reading, at no extra cost... plus, she refunded my payment for the reading portion of the total. Because she knew I was going out of town that weekend, Ms. Turner went one step further and told me to keep the current new glasses with me until the final pair arrived, and we exchanged them. I was pleased and relieved at her thoughtfulness. I had a great experience at the Walmart Vision Center. Jasmine and Ms. Turner were incredibly helpful and understanding. I highly recommend their services. I further commend Ms. Turner as Manager for going above and beyond her duty. I felt that she saw me as a person and did her best to help me. Thank you so much! I've been wearing glasses for over 20 years and this is the first time I've had the best eye exam ever. The Dr was thorough as hell and was well versed in what she was doing, but baby when I tell y'all it was Lawrence who made my day. Not only is he fine as hell he helped my daughter and I pick out the best glasses for us and answered every question I had in detail and professionally. Even went through all of our other options available. All in all they did their jobs and did it well. We will most definitely be going back!!

I was surprised to receive such great service at a Walmart. The ladies who helped me went above and beyond to help me pick out glasses, contact my insurance company, and get everything I needed. I took over an hour, but they never made me feel rushed. They were so friendly and kind. 5 stars

A young lady named Della helped me w my glasses. She repaired them for me quickly & w such a positive attitude. I am so grateful for her help as I am from out of state.

Have been using Walmart Optical on College Drive since 2005. Della has helped me almost every year since then with ordering my contacts and selecting my frames. Doc has always been thorough in doing my annual eye exam. I couldn't ask for a better place to meet all of my optical needs. Thanks Ladies!
