They fit me in on a very busy day to extract two pieces of metal out of my eye. The experience was very professional with a family setting Louisiana eye care is the only facility however ever use I came in and couldn't even see out of my left eye left out being able to see like I had before. Thank you all for the emergency service y'all provided.

I have purchased eyeglasses from them before and they came out really well. And this time I have ordered another pair, and I'm looking forward to them. They're always friendly and very knowledgeable. They made my visit easy and helped me pick out some nice frames. They cost was too expensive either, especially due to the strength of my script.

I live in Baton Rouge and gladly travel to Denham because the care at Louisiana Eye Care is absolutely worth the short drive. Dr. DiCarlo is incredibly smart and talented, and I felt confident in my care from start to finish. Every staff member I encountered was well-trained, efficient, polite, and professional. Made an appointment to get a prescription for glasses & was told I had a $35.00 copay with insurance. During the exam was advised I had cataracts & a bad case of eye-mites. I was referred to another doctor for surgery in Baton Rouge & given a prescription for specialty eyedrops. On checkout was advised I owed $150.00 because they did other test! I did not ask for other test! Not happy but paid. Got the specialty prescription & my insurance paid $1,224.00, WOW! Went to another eye doctor at a different location & was told everyone has eye-mites & my case was no worse than anyone else, so don't worry about the eyedrops. TOO LATE, eyedrops already delivered & insurance company robbed. 2-weeks later got another bill from LEC for about 135.00. I questioned and was told they were thorough with my exam. I stated that's BS & paid AGAIN on my copay. NEVER AGAIN! On ALL previous eye exams with my now retired eye doctor, I never paid more than a $35.00 copay but the copay for LEC was about $280.00. If you want to get nickel and dimed to death this is the place for you.

I scheduled an appointment as a first-time patient and was extremely disappointed with my experience. After checking in and completing the basic eye chart portion of the exam, I was told that per my vision insurance policy they had to bill my medical insurance first. Because of this, they wanted me to pay my medical copay along with an additional out-of-pocket charge for extra exam services. This immediately felt wrong because I've been to several eye care providers over the years, and not once has this ever been required. Every other provider bills my vision insurance directly, and I pay the vision copay--simple and straightforward. I refused the service and left. I then called my vision insurance provider, who confirmed that what Louisiana Eye Care told me was completely false. It is not their policy, and the clinic should have billed my vision plan directly. My insurance even said they would be reaching out to the business. Regardless, I won't be back. They wasted my time with misinformation and unnecessary insurance runaround. I pay for strong vision coverage specifically to avoid out-of-pocket surprises, not to be told incorrect policies so I'm pressured to pay more. This is the only eye care provider I've ever visited that has done this, and it honestly felt like a scam. I had high hopes based on the ratings, but the experience was extremely disappointing.

My first visit and it went great. The entire staff from the front desk to the doctor was helpful explained everything and make sure I left with the best glasses. 5 plus stars
