"I had an extremely troubling experience at Eyecare Associates with (Dr. Jared Vincent) in Metairie. I went in for a small chalazion issue, instead of just giving me a local anesthetic and taking care of it then. He set it up for a later date at the surgery center, and it was clearly documented that only my left eye was to be treated. Keep in mind nothing was wrong with my right eye, except for the fact that I have rubbed it earlier this morning, and it was a little irritated. Before the surgery, I refused the drugs He tried to push on me are extremely dangerous drugs--propofol and fentanyl--without any screening for interactions. offered by the anesthesiologist, and Dr. Vincent became visibly upset. After that, he worked on my left eye. I thought he was finished, but he then without no warning he aggressively handled my right eye without consent or any anesthesia, despite the written instructions. After that rushed procedure, which took maybe 10 minutes, I then saw a highly trained plastic surgeon independently, who repaired my eye on the spot. My co-pay was only $35, and he used just a local anesthetic--no risky drugs. My eye is now fully repaired. Meanwhile, Dr. Vincent charged my insurance and left me with an extra $435 bill. I still can't get my billing records. I will attach photos of the damage and the pain I endured was excruciating. I strongly advise anyone considering Dr. Vincent to stay away--this was a dangerous, unprofessional, and unacceptable experience, and I am incredibly grateful to the plastic surgeon who repaired my eye."

My visit was pleasant and everyone was professional and acted in a manner that there were many people in there, but it did not take long to see everyone. Dr. Vincent is top-notch and I am thankful too, have him as my physician.

I have seen Dr. Kasovich for years and he is great, no complaints there. Sadly, the office staff is very rude, not helpful, and it's been a hassle each time I need anything other than scheduling an appointment( which is down through automated system now.) my insurance is not accepted anymore here but I continued to go and self pay due to the doctor being great. The staff has been the last straw and I will not be returning. Rude and not helpful for a patient of 10+ years

Doctors have all been wonderful. Office staff not so much. Been going here for years. Today I was 10 minutes late for an appointment and they canceled the whole appointment. I called before the appointment started and said I was on my way from work and would be 10 minutes late. The receptionist said no problem. But when I arrived The lady at desk Didn't even try to work with me. Very disappointing especially since my last appointment I had to wait an hour and half past my appointment time to be seen. I gave you grace, you owe me some.

I've been a patient of Dr Sumich for years he has always been the most reliable helpful doctor I have ever seen Dr Sumich don't rush and listen to everything I have to say and answer questions I ask. I feel strongly confident in my Doctor and I'm not going anywhere but Eyecare Associates the staff is very helpful and friendly that's just what I need, thank you Dr Sumich for taking great care of me..

Besides another stack of paperwork that had to be filled out (I'm a 35+ year returning patient), everything else was great. Was called back in a timely manner & went thru the basic tests as always. Dr. Kasovich, who is very easy to work with and talk to, did his thing and I was out of there. Nice job!

The staff were very polite and helpful with checking in and checking out. Dr. Sumich was very efficient with my exam. He always makes me feel comfortable and he is willing to take the extra time to make sure your exam is complete and that I understand everything. I would highly recommend him!

Not good at all. My families previous optometrist of 25 years in this office Dr. Leder recently retired. Dr Leder had a great personality and took his time going over your eye care and needs. However with the new optometrist this was not the same experience at all, his assistant did most of the exam and then he blew in for approx 5 min.. In addition, we were told upon checking out that this new doctor and all others with the eception of one in that office charge $35 extra for a new eye glass or contact prescription, in addition to your insurance co pay, ours is $55. We were never told about this extra $35 fee prior to the visit and we never paid an extra fee in 25 years at that same office for our yearly prescriptions with or without infraction. I asked for the office manager, however I had to meet with a different person who just made poor excuses for our bad experience and the lack of communication we received. I requested again to speak to the office manager Clair, but the lady told me that I couldn't speak with Clair, that she would have Clair call me. It's been several days now and of course I am not surprised, that I haven't received a call from the office manager Clair. I will try calling her tomorrow and will do a follow-up review of my experience. I have never written a review before for any of our other medical doctors, but felt this was necessary. In addition, my parents felt the same way with their own bad experiences with this office , and now have decided to go to a different optometrist than to see another doctor in that office.
