Called to see if they were accepting new patients and they were. I spoke with Bill. He was so friendly and has great customer service. My appointment went smoothly and they were able to start the appointment right away. Staff is so nice and I felt so welcomed. I got some really cute glasses from there and it was super affordable. I found my spot!

If I could give zero stars I would. I used Dillingham's several years ago and was very pleased. However, when I went for my next exam a couple of years later it wasn't the same. The doctor and staff had changed. I went yesterday for the third time at this facility and had a very bad experience. I let the young lady at the front desk(which is precious and very kind), the doctor, and the rude person that fits you with your glasses or contacts know that I wasn't sure if I wanted glasses or contacts. When it came time to try my contacts I told him that the print was not clear and I wasn't sure which I wanted. I was told that I had to purchase that day or my insurance wouldn't pay for my exam. I said well I'll just get a couple of months so I can decide which would be best. I was told that I had to get at least six months. I knew better and should not have believed this lie. I felt pressured into buying contacts before I had a chance to try them. After I got home I called my insurance and they said that I did not have to purchase anything for my exam to be covered. I immediately called the office and was told that I couldn't cancel the order. I was also told that I needed to schedule another appointment to check for glaucoma because of high eye pressure, I canceled that appointment when I was told the order couldn't be canceled. I feel taken advantage of and was certainly lied to. I will not be back. After some research I realized that the Dillingham's on Roselawn in Monroe is actually Look Eye Care. They bought the building from Dillingham's and did not remove the sign on the building. The original Dillingham's is now in West Monroe on Cypress St and that's who I will be using after this experience. I do not recommend Look Eye Care!! They are not looking out for the best interests of their patients. They are only looking to make money at any cost. They lost my business and several others because of guy that is very rude and their pressure sales tactics.

The young lady at the front desk was so sweet and caring, and entire consultation was easy and pleasant. In addition, they were able to accommodate an unscheduled visit for my husband so we both had a good experience.

I made an appt under the assumption that this was still dillingham optical, I wasn't told different at any point during the interaction and would not have known if it wasn't for me glancing back when leaving. The front of the office staff was very pleasant, the girl who checked me in as well as the man who helped me pick out glasses. However, I'm leaving 2 starts because I found Dr. Davis to be less than approachable. If anything I felt like I was bothering her the entire time. I went in for a contacts and was told by her that I could not take them home to practice with (since it had been so long since I had worn them I was having difficulties putting them in) and when I said I understood and I'd just come back she replied with "contacts stay here". Okay cool. So are you reusing them? Because the ones that I was given, I opened so. Also, when I brought up ordering glasses online vs in the office she looked at me like I was crazy. I ended up ordering there because they acted as though they wouldn't give me my prescription otherwise

I had a very unpleasant experience at Dillingham Optical a few days ago. I have been a patient and customer there for years. I didn't realize the business was sold a few months back, but it soon became very clear to me that everything has changed in the practice. Dr. Christine Davis (who has an Eye Clinic in Shreveport as well) conducted my eye exam very quickly then sent me out to pay for the visit. When I was told what I owed (more than triple what I've paid there for the exact same yearly exam and contacts), I questioned the exorbitant amount. Brittany, the woman checking me out, and Dr. Davis were appalled that I dared to question them at all! I paid my $10 co-pay but held off on the remaining $160 amount until I spoke to my Vision insurance company. Because I wouldn't pay in full and expressed my disappointment in the high charges, I was told that I could not get my contact lens prescription and that I had to leave and not return. The doctor never would come out to speak to me about my concerns. She just had Brittany deal with me. The entire staff was unprofessional and did not seem to know what they were doing. They also told me that all patient records of the previous owners were stored somewhere else now and new records had to be created. I found that to be very strange. My advice to anyone is do NOT make an appointment with this practice for any reason. What used to be a successful and well run establishment is no longer there. I will never darken their door step again.

I called to make an appointment and was told that they had a new computer system but they would have my paper files. They never told me that this was not Dillingham Optical anymore. I confirmed with the person that I talked on the phone if they still took my insurance and was told that they did. I arrived at my appointment time and notice on the door it said look eyecare but Dillingham Optical was still on a huge sign on building. I checked in and sign some paperwork and confirmed again that they took my insurance and was assured that they did. I wait about 25 minutes and the front desk lady came over to me and said that there will be $125 contact exam charge. I said my insurance pays for that and she said that the doctor has the right to still charge a fee. Needless to say, I said okay and left and rode down the street to 20/20 and they made me an appointment right then and there and I was able to get my contact and exam at no charge per my insurance. If you making an appointment here thinking it's the Dillingham Optical , keep in mind it is NOT.

This business' real name is 'Look Eyecare' not Dillingham Optical Dispensary as still portrayed on the business signs confusing many folks into thinking they are still being served by Dr. Dillingham. It is not. Dr. Davis is the only reason I gave 2 stars. When your eye exam is done, we are supposed to be handed our prescription before we are shown eyewear for purchase by insurance or yourself. This never happens and one has to ask several times for the prescription even tho the FTC requires this to be done in this manner. If your insurance pays for your glasses, you will be shown a small set of wire glasses with small lens and to me, they looked like kid's glasses. Unless you are willing to pay extra, this is what you choose from. The glasses I was stuck with are worthless. The are too small and I can't see thru them well enough to wear them. The reason the "EYEGLASS RULE" exists requiring patients get a copy of the prescription is so we can purchase glasses elsewhere or online. I suggest you do that.

It was the worst. I hadn't been in a year. So I was expecting things to be the same. I was wrong. I had some questions about the price increase for my copay and the price of my contacts. The receptionist was very nice in answering my questions. Until a man came out the back and said if I didn't want to pay I can cancel my appointment. All because I was asking questions about the price increase. He was very rude and insulting. So I canceled my appointment and went somewhere else
