I came here after a DEEPLY disappointing experience at another optometrist, and Lakeview Vision Source was the correct choice. You can stop reading now and just make your appointment - you'll understand as soon as you've been. The office is well appointed and conveniently located, and costs are extremely reasonable. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable, going so far as to check in when (due to my previous optometrist's ongoing bungling) my insurance would cover the appointment but not getting new glasses or contacts. That level of responsible customer care is above and beyond, and it informed the entire experience. The exam is easy, thorough, and fast, with updated systems arranged to keep you (even as a very big and tall human like myself, comfortable the entire time. The doctors have a truly exceptional bedside (chair-side?) manner, and are attentive and well versed in a genuinely shocking array of potential complicating factors and legitimately rare conditions that many other doctors are uninformed on, at best. Every step is covered thoroughly, and that level of respect that I mentioned earlier is there every step of the way, from your finances to your autonomy and everything in between. This isn't the turn-and-burn kind of office, like some out there that will just try to gouge you once every year or two and then never care about you as a patient until the next gouging. Here, they clearly want to maintain your business, and they go about it by doing the right thing and providing a level of care that's almost relegated to mythology at this point. It's clear that Lakeview Vision Source is a well established family concern, and that their reputation is earned. They're working to both help their community's needs and maintain their legacy - and conclusively succeeding at both. I'm happy I went, and, without question, this is the optometrist for me in the future as well.

I am so glad they have expanded to Lakeview. Dr. K is great with kids and adults. The whole family sees him once a year and the process is always easy. He takes the time to understand your needs as a patient and discuss any problems you may be experiencing. He takes excellent notes so when you visit the following year, you feel as if you were just continuing the conversation from your last appointment. I highly recommend them for your eye care needs.

This business runs with great efficiency! I absolutely appreciate how Mike helps and guides patients when choosing the perfect frame. This is a huge selling point for me. The doctors are also calm, cool and collected and do a fantastic job of explaining everything! Awesome work, Lakeview Vision!!!

I really wanted to have a family eye doctor relationship with this office. I had an appointment on Friday at 11:30, showed up at 11:00 since I was a new patient. While I was there, 3 other people showed up. The front desk guy, was very nice but told us because it "rained", they are behind 30 minutes. I asked if 30 minutes really meant 45 and he said yes. So I said I would reschedule because I had somewhere else I had to be at 12:30 and there was no way I would be done. Then today, they called and the doctor said he had Covid and all appointments were cancelled with no time frame for rescheduling. I understand that things come up but it seems like there is very little thought into how to reschedule or catch up. We are all busy and it took a month to get these 3 appointments. I was basically told I would have to wait another month.

Very Pleasent experience, the staff was very knowledgeable about all the glasses they had in stock,Mike Jr. were very professional and extremely courteous and patient with me while I decided on what frame I felt like fitted my personality. And for that alone this eye doctor gets a 5 star rating from the Johnson/Bowman Family,we will recommend this place to all our friends and family...

Started having a little trouble with seeing up close. Went in to see if LASIK was an option and to get an eye exam since I had not had one in years. Mike at the front desk was amazingly friendly, professional, and made the short wait to see the Dr. smooth and conversational. Dr. Mike continued in the same friendly and informal vibe. He asked questions to get to the heart of my issue, did an exam, explaining things along the way, and the entire experience was frictionless, informative, and professional. They were also one of the few places in the area who took my BCBS insurance plan. HIGHLY recommend and this is now my new eye care location. I drive from St. Bernard to "see" them (see what I did there?) LOL

I had my first visit yesterday and such a pleasant experience! The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are very reasonable and making an appointment was easy. I will definitely go back. They have a new customer with me!

Just had an appointment with Dr. Songy was so awesome. I loved his facility as well. Mike at the front desk was super friendly and accommodating. Dr. Songy was knowledgeable, kind, courteous, and super fast. I was in and out in an hour. So nice. He was also considerate about dilating my eye (he didn't dilate them) because he knew I had to go back to work. I really feel like he cared about my eyes and vision. I have been looking for a place the last several years that I truly like. I will definitely be going back to see Dr. Songy for all eye care needs. Super impressed!
