From the moment I arrived, I did not feel welcomed or informed about the process of my examination. No one explained what would be done or what to expect. Additionally, after receiving eye drops that caused light sensitivity, I was not provided with any protective glasses or further guidance upon discharge. This experience left me feeling anxious and uncertain about my care. I believe better communication and patient support would have made a significant difference. IMy goal in sharing this feedback is to ensure that future patients receive clear explanations and proper aftercare.

Very rude assistants, the OD himself was rushed and did not give me enough time to ask questions or re-check. Ochsner is becoming so mammoth and focused on cramming as many patients in one day as they possibly can, it's a so obvious that money is what they all care about and the assistants, nurses and Doctors do not have time to actually care for the patients. Everyone says this all over town.

Dr R. Kelly is an excellent eye doctor. I've been his patient for at least 12 years. He is always thorough, and takes each visit seriously. Appreciate him!

Dr. Kelly, is always courteous, kind, through, one of the Best Dr's I have encountered in my 70 years on this earth!

This was the worse experience I have ever had at any medical facility ever. This was my second time seeing this doctor and my first time experience was not great; however, I allowed room that perhaps I was sensitive as the doctor I had seen for 12 years left New Orleans. Nothing could have prepared me for this next visit. It was not me being sensitive at ALL. This doctor was more concerned with being combative and went out of his way to NOT complete the exam for my speciality contact lenses. I have a degenerative eye disease and I am vigilant about my eye care and keeping my appointments. First, there was no staff to check in upon arrival. I had to use a phone in the office to follow a multi step check in process. There was nothing there to clean the phone surface prior to using this phone. His MA Bianca was cold and did the bare minimum of her job requirements. For example when I was asked to remove my contacts, I had to ask if I could wash my hands first. She was annoyed that I requested to wash my hands before touching my eyes. She did not offer any solution for my contacts which is customary. Luckily I had an extra vile of single use solution in my purse. When the doctor entered the room he didn't wash his hands. His hands smelled. He was more rude than his assistant. He proceeded to "scold" me for scheduling my appointment incorrectly on the portal. When I explained that I spoke to a scheduler and they advised me that it would be easier and faster to use the portal as I had been waiting for months for an appointment. He accused me of having my contacts reversed which they were not. He then accused me of not cleaning my lenses properly and using the wrong cleaning solution. When I told him that he was the one to suggest i change cleaning solutions on my previous visit. He then stated "well that is the brand that the contact lenses company wants you to use, maybe it is not as good" He refused to complete my exam stating he had 15 other patients to see and that I could just order new contacts and he would correct and use warranty to get accurate lenses. I have reported the full details of this visit to the patient advocate. I hope there is some corrective action for his deplorable behavior and substandard care. If not I hope this review will help the next patient to choose differently.

Dr Kelly and his staff were very nice and personable. I was pleased with my first visit.

The Doctor & his staff were very professional. The visit was great with no waiting. Now for my complaints: I tried to make a regular appointment with my other eye doctor & would have had to wait until June. Human Resources needs to do a better job of replacing Doctors who leave or go on Maternity leave. I also suggest you delegate more space for the eye Department at main campus. I live three miles from main campus & at 76 I really don't like driving in New Orleans. I also hate the parking lot at Baptist & the POOR signage. What a rabbit Warren!

Waiting time was minimal. Dr Kelly was promo, pleasant and knowledgeable. This was my first time being seen by him since my long time optometrist recently retired. Dr Kelly was able to improve my vision with a contact change and address my dry eye issues. I am very pleased and overall satisfied.
