America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

About a month ago I had a exam remote exam at that, and I was under the that my insurance would cover the exam for contacts the tech at the pineville office goes to explain Alexandria eye laser did a exam but that was for my glasses long story short I get the amount I owe and today try to go pay for ths exam I already had and get my "in stock contacts and I am being told Dr. Bailey had to sign off on my exam i already did. This happened before at the same America best! I didn't have an issue then BUT TODAY 2/14/26 I can't pay for my exam and my contact til Monday? I work in the customer service field and I have had no issues before getting an exam and coming back to pay and get contacts but today whoever working needs a customer service training!! Contacts for individuals like me who can't see are an emergency to me maybe not to them that can see til Monday

I'm going to give 3 stars I wish I could give more. Just for the eye dr. Cause she was amazing. But far as the lady that helped me pick out my glasses. I felt very rushed. I was very confused about my lens cause I've never had too wear bifocals before so I didn't know anything about them. Just didn't care for the customer service

Scheduled a contact lens appointment for my son bc he wanted them for his birthday but our primary was booked until next month. After the exam they stated his trials had to be ordered. We came back when they arrived and was informed after he had to install them before we could get them and the doctor was gone for the day. So we made an appointment for the next day and the whole experience was terrible. He was struggling and no one could help they just walked off leaving me there trying to do their job after over an hour. Made another appointment to retry and the experience was the same. After an hour and a half I ask for his prescription to take to his primary since I couldn't have the contacts and they gave me a regular eyeglass prescription. I stated that's not what I paid for or what they charged my insurance for and asked to speak to the doctor. I asked to have the prescription faxed or emailed to his primary bc I wasn't getting proper care she started having a tantrum and ripped up the paperwork saying she wasn't dealing with this and I can have a refund. I told her great and I wanted my insurance benefits reinstated as well. These people are awful. My son no longer wants contacts after his experience.

There's a great selection of frames available to try on. I appreciate that the cost of the frames is clearly marked and the staff kindly provides coverage amounts and pricing explanations before browsing for frames. All staff I have encountered at the Pineville location are professional and helpful. It's certainly a busy location but the staff is well organized and engaging. My husband and I arrived together, had a full exam, chose frames and placed our order within 1 hour as walk-in patients! I have enjoyed the service for two years and will continue to bring them my business. Thanks ladies for all your help!

Went in with my husband right after Christmas, he had to get glasses and I had to get an "up to date" pair. He ordered two pair of the exact same thing and I got one pair of glasses and one pair of prescription shades. We were told they would be in by the 7th of this month (Jan). I called today, since I haven't heard anything on mine (got a text that his were ready). Shades are in but glasses are not. The explanation I got was that they were completed but not yet shipped to them (holidays and weather were the excuses given) and they were unable to tell me when they would ship etc. COMPLETELY BS excuse on holidays since they were over when we went in and weather doesn't seem to be holding up anyone else. THEN you keep in mind that hubby didn't have insurance and I did......he paid less than HALF of what I did for the two pair (yes I know several factors have to be looked at). Seems like they would prefer you to have NO insurance since it's usually less expensive if you don't!!!! I asked for my prescription and a refund on my glasses, I will get them elsewhere (probably cheaper and a lot faster)!!!! I will be going elsewhere in the future!!!

I went in three weeks ago to get glasses had my eyes examined by the Dr. I felt as though it was rushed. When it came down to getting properly fit that was not done..%hey just ordered the glasses and I submitted payment. I was told glasses would be in before the 16th of April they come in and prescription is way off so they have to send back to lab. I called few days ago they said they were done but haven't been shipped to them. So if they are done why are they still waiting for shipping?? Either send my glasses to me correctly or reimbursement is required

Went there and had to have bifocal so we got the plastic lens with a line and the 20 extra for the eye exam and still came up to 333.dont understand that
