The reason I stayed with Dr. Janot when he moved from Lake Charles to Sulphur many years ago was that I appreciated how thorough he was in treating my eyes. That was extremely important to me. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes to be seen.

I recently moved to the area and was really hopeful about scheduling my first appt with Vision Source in Sulphur, but unfortunately, my experience on the phone left me disappointed. The insurance coordinator sounded rushed and wasn't very welcoming. She was abrupt and almost rude as if I was wasting her time. When I asked about coverage, she simply told me they don't accept insurance directly and that I'd need to submit the cost myself -- but offered no clear guidance beyond that. The explanation was so unclear and brief that I ended up canceling my appointment altogether. I hope they consider offering more patient-centered communication in the future. She did not seem welcoming at all. What a Shame. You lost an entire family's business due to this one interaction. She may need some training on phone etiquette.
