Advanced Clinical Eyecare of Central Maine

I was referred this office to get a referral to an eye surgeon. On the second visit I got my new prescription and it was wrong. I tried for a second pair somewhere else and it was still wrong. I was scheduled for a third appointment and they charged so much money my insurance refused to cover the cost $119. I'm on SSI and SSA so my income is extremely low. Now I have to pay for an exam that was worthless and still do not have a pair of glasses I can use. I am so disappointed in this office (Auburn)

After my prior eye care service relocated their Auburn office, I decided to make a change and tried Advanced Clinical Eyecare of Maine's Auburn office. Staff was pleasant, organized and professional, minimal waiting time easy new patient processing. Dr. Gandelman was thorough, including examination for diabetic related damage and the presence of cataracts. He offered very direct and easy to understand conclusions. Good people, nice place.

I shouldn't even be give them a full start it should be a half of a star for many reasons - The medical assistant grabbed my head very aggressively didn't even say " hey I'm going to move you head " during one of the eye testing - The medical assistant didn't have a room ready for me to sit in to wait for the doctor. once I was done with all my eye testing they made wait back out in the lobby -While I was waiting out in the waiting room I heard all the office ladies talking badly about a co - worker like how she smelled and how they had to drive her somewhere . - I waited almost 1 before I got into a room and when I got into a room it smelled like cigarettes. Now let's move on to the doctor I always have dr frost . She has always been my eye doctor she grate and wonderful but when I went in for my visit it wasn't Dr. Frost when I told my appointment was going to be with her . I was sadly mistaken. The eye doctor that I had was rude and made me feel so uncomfortable that I feel that I don't have the right prescription for my glasses or contacts .

Total communication breakdown at the Auburn location after 5 visits over 1.5 months to try to get contact prescription filed. Surreal and unprofessional experience.

Today was my first trip to the Auburn location. The most thorough eye exam I have ever had. Not only did the Dr help me with a prescription for glasses, but he also helped direct me towards some over the counter aides that may help me. He didn't have to do that. All of the associates were professional and kind. I definitely recommend.

My son and I had our first eye exams here with Dr. Frost, she is very thorough and so nice! The office staff are awesome as well. I highly recommend this office, they are very thorough and affordable.

Use to love this place! Office had gotten rude. Had appointment scheduled for months, they called to reschedule as dr would not be in. I rescheduled with date they gave. Started new job and called to reschedule as I'm in trying that she stated next Dec as I'm rescheduling. I'm rescheduling because they rescheduled on date I'm not able to go. Very insided. They can change it but I'm not a new customer so I have to go months later. Point is being a long time customer but they only value new customers.
