Dr Faith Smith is exceptional-- has taken care of my eyes for years and today at 76 I see without glasses because she figured out how to get my cataracted lenses replaced with mono vision eye lens implants (Maine eye in Portland) / I have 20/20.+ distance vision and completely perfect reading vision without supplemental glasses - people I tell about this "magic" just smile and shake their heads/ Go see FAITH

I had broken the nose pads off my glasses while at work and I ran over here quickly while on a 15 minute break. The receptionist replaced the pads for FREE and did it so quickly that I was able to grab a drink from Reny's and walk back to my office in under 13 minutes. Thank you so much! :)

I heard such good things about this practice - our doctor and many friends recommended it - but I couldn't get past the secretary at the desk to be considered for an appointment for my husband in grave need. No room at this inn.

In August of 2022 ~ my Beloved Husband inexplicably lost sight in his left eye.I called immediately and Faith had us come in the next morning ~ A Sunday. She spent an hour ~ baffled and yet working the problem ~ She sent us to Portland ~ he was having a stroke ~ they released him to another Retinal Surgeon ~ he sent him to MASS General saying " I'm just a Retinal Surgeon " ~ { Just?} ~ the premier Neuro~ Ophthalmologist admitted him to Mass General as "A work in progress " . He passed September 4 of 22 from a fungal infection and the resulting 5 strokes from complications post kidney transplant . Although a profoundly tragic story I~ We ~ My Family feels eternal indebted to Faith for it was she who noticed ~ urged action ~ and so gracefully recognized her limitations with profound humility. She had never seen this before and evidently no one else had all the way up to the top. It took 24 hours for the case to be solve once a team of 14 doctors combined their skill sets but it would be unfortunately be much too late. But Faith? She is our Hero ! His Wife ~ Laurie

First time in Maine. Camping in the Phippsburg area and my glasses broke. I called and went in shortly after to be greeted by an amazing lady that took the time to talk with me and repair my glasses. Total time from call to leaving an hour and 15 minutes. Cost for repair $0. Interaction and peace of mind priceless. Thank you so much. Dave Shuman, Walbridge Ohio

Very caring office staff. Dr. Smith is clearly giving the top down example of how everybody matters. We are very fortunate to have any healthcare provider with such a giving and caring spirit as Dr. Faith Smith.

Not excepting new patients. Gave no reason to why. Did not offer to be added to a waiting list.
