I had an issue with my eye all weekend and really hoped to get in to see someone asap Monday morning. I wasn't a current patient with this office, but was able to get in the same day. The receptionist was very kind, and even coordinated a referral w/ my primary care physician for me before my appointment. The assistant and doctor were both friendly and efficient. The experience was seamless from start to finish and I'm super grateful for their care!

Didn't even get to schedule my appointment, the front desk lady "Mary" was so rude and unprofessional. From the first look she gave me, I could tell she didn't want to help me. I've already had a referral sent three months ago and before I could even tell her that she straight up just said "we don't have room for any appointments" - it's like she wanted to shoo me away so she didn't have to work.

DONT EVER GO HERE. They have the worst customer service I've ever experienced. The receptionist was just purely awful and was talking about me as if I couldn't hear (but I could). On top of that she was incompetent at her job, did not know how to check me in or speak to me compassionately. Even further, she spent my entire wait in the waiting room yapping about how much she needed a drink. Overall extremely unprofessional.

I have never ever ever done this before but I just did a doordash here and the receptionist/ my customer was DISGUSTINGLY rude to me. Like I'm on the verge of tears. I can only assume it's because in this case I was the service provider but I'm also a community member that expects to be treated with at least a minuscule amount of not even respect but like I'm a person? I simply asked if the name of the customer worked in that office and was told with the meanest look and rudest sarcastic tone that "sorry I was busy with a patient" like I wasn't simply trying to deliver orders so I can buy dinner for my family tonight: I know for a fact that I wasn't rude and would never be rude to someone working in the first place. This is a vent but I won't deliver doordAshes to this address again and I won't use them as a customer. I do go to midcoast health as my pcp and am wondering if they are affiliated and hoping not.

It takes several months to get an appointment. After an appointment, I called for a referral to an ophthalmologist that could remove my cataracts. I always got a recording. After at least a month, someone gave me a referral. Someone from that office called and scheduled an appointment. I couldn't remember the name of the business, but I knew the exact street address. Both Google and Google Maps showed no eye care related business near the street address. I called another practice and scheduled an appointment in 5 business days.

Every time I call and want to speak to a person I get a recording saying "you have reached the general mail box please leave a message". I find this very impersonal and a bit strange. The staff, once you are there in person are friendly and courteous though not always very prompt about returning calls or calling with test results.

Mid Coast Eye Associates were professional and helpful when my son began wearing glasses and contact lenses. Appointments were on time, efficient and informative. My son was comfortable and asked questions and learned the best way to take care of his eyes.

Good Doc, friendly staff. However if you are trying to get anything handled promptly especially over the phone good luck with that, you may or may not ever hear back from anyone.
