My 12 year old was seen here and I am completely disgusted with how the staff acted. I had no choice other than bringing my youngest two along, one which is autistic. They were excited to be in a new place. Only one staff member smiled at her excitement being in a new place. Young female eye doctor was extremely rude when I was trying to help my son explain the past exams as he has trouble articulating what he means. She basically told me to be quiet. Extremely had for a 2 and 3 year old to stay still. She tried to parent my children. Did not give me the correct information for glasses and I've been trying for days to call just to end up to a voicemail that's full every time. No answer. Absolutely no bedside manner with any off the staff or doctors. Will not be going back there again.

I had the best experience at Damariscotta Eye-care! Fern M. Thompson was very nice and a huge help in selecting the right glasses. Fern is very knowledgeable and extremely professional. (And funny!) Love this place!

I am absolutely disgusted with how I was treated here today. My last appointment was with Dr. Larabee and completely different staff. I saw a new doctor here today, a younger female. She was extremely rude and dismissive, interrupted me and was passive aggressive. After trying to over charge me at the front desk and not even apologizing for that error, then the doctor raising her voice and being extremely disrespectful, I will never go back there again. I highly recommend she figures out how to speak with her patients in a more respectful and professional manner and that the front desk gets some further training on insurance.

I have been a patient of Dr. Cappola since I was a kid, and then became Dr. Labree's patient when Dr. Cappola retired. I saw Dr. Maria Ennamorati yesterday and I thought she was VERY knowledgeable and thorough. She was soft spoken and took lots of notes. I love the fact that we both grew up in the same home town in Maine. I highly recommend Dr. Ennamorati!

Dr. Labree has been the ONLY optometrist that has EVER been able to correct my vision to 20/20. I've had others in my twenties tell me I have the eyes of an eight-year-old, and not to bother wearing glasses because they wouldn't make a difference. I am now thirty-eight-years-old. Dr. Labree has had me at 20/20 vision for at least five years. This is a miracle, given that my eye was not bandaged as a child. I am currently half blind in my left eye until he corrects them to 20/20 vision with glasses. We also had an eye emergency last summer. My six-year-old had gotten a piece of glass stuck inside her eyelid while swimming at a State Park lake. He got her in the office immediately. He quickly assessed the urgency of the situation and got us into the Pediatric eye specialist in Portland immediately. We were told to drive straight there and they would see her. I'm very thankful for Dr. Lebre's commitment to our eye care.

I recently had a pair of reading glasses and trifocals made at Damariscotta Eyecare. My optical axes were incorrectly measured the first time, giving me double vision. Replacement pairs were ordered, but took a very long time to arrive. From the first time I went there, it took a total of 12 weeks to get satisfactory pairs of glasses, 8 of which were for the replacement pairs. The staff at Dam. Eyecare said the the long delay was caused by the lab making the lenses, a different company. This was an untruth, as the lab shared their fabrication and shipment details with me, establishing that the delay was somewhere within Dam. Eyecare. When I tried to discuss this with them, they were evasive and refused to take responsibility. "I don't know." "We didn't have them." Etc. The long delay itself was unacceptable, but the lack of professionalism of the staff and their attempt to wrongly shift the blame to the lab were egregious. I will NEVER go to them again, and I heartily recommend that everyone else take their business elsewhere. One star was required to post this review, but they do not deserve even that.

Dr. LeBree opened up his schedule so I could come in with a semi emergency eye situation. He and his staff were very welcoming, caring, thorough and guided me through a challenging situation.

Friendly, on time ,thorough and informative. Dr LaBree was very helpful. Bonnie always tries to save me money because my insurance doesn't cover eye exams. Good folks!
