Casco Bay EyeCare

I had a routine eye exam charged as a medical exam -- at no time during the visit were there specific treatments for anything other than checking my eye health and getting an updated prescription. Despite the mixup on Casco Bay Eyecare's part, they refused to cooperate in getting this billed correctly so that my health insurance would cover the visit.

I chose Casco Eyecare after having a very negative experience with an opthamologist in Brunswick. The two Drs. I've seen at Casco have been good listeners and gave me a thorough examination. The new opticians are professional and extremely helpful. Dylan helped me finally get my progressive lenses aligned properly. Eyeglass frame choices are adequate. Everyone is courteous and helpful. I've been with them 4 years now, and won't go anywhere else.

I've been wearing glasses and going to various eye docs for 30 years now. I've had good and some very bad experiences over time. Of all my experiences, as a new patient with Dr. Kearins, I'd say this was the best. New patient sign up was really easy. Barely any wait time for me. Dr. Kearins clearly cares about his craft. I even walked out knowing more than I did before my appointment, stuff other eye docs never cared to take the time to explain to me in the past. I'm happy to have found a new eye doc I can trust with not just my eyes, but my time too.

Went to Falmouth location to get 2 pairs of Maui Jim sunglasses glasses adjusted. Asked male optician (NICK) about the first pair, I said that the temple was loose, part was bent and would like that fixed so the temple does not swing freely. He took the glasses, went out back, came out a few minutes later and said that there was "a piece inside that was broken and it could not be fixed". I was with my child so I said took him at his word and moved onto the second pair. I asked him multiple times to put sunglasses back in "standard alignment" aka how they are when you receive them, no custom touches done, specifically asked that they go back like they had never been worn/adjusted before and have multiple examples of what I was hoping for. This optician was not only argumentative (talked over me, interrupted, rolled eyes) but talked to me like I had no idea what I was talking about (I'm an ex-optician, trained by this company!) and he refused to do any sort of adjustment on them. He gave me and my child a "bless your heart" on the way out. I have looked over the first pair again and if he had done as I had asked, they would have been fixed. Worst customer service ever.

It would have been five stars as Dr. Kearins was great, especially with my Daughter. The blonde woman fitting glasses at the front was difficult. I had just ordered my glasses at almost 400 dollars and was picking out glasses for my daughter. I asked for the info on glasses for my daughter and she didn't want to give it to me! I was ordering glasses for daughter too but they did not have her size. They needed to order them so she could try them on. I asked 3x for my daughter's glasses info before she did not have an excuse not to give it to me. She acted put out I asked for it, which I found rude especially given the amount of money I was spending, I wanted it in case she broke the 300 dollar glasses I was ordering. I fully intended on buying their glasses I knew could get online at a fraction of the cost . I wanted to be sure my daughter liked how they looked for her first pair. Two days later my glasses were ready, went back, put my name on list as there was a wait. A lady that been there came back and asked to put her name back on the list. I waited without leaving. When my turn came up she took the lady that came back that put her name on list after me. I will not be buying glasses for daughter here now. Going some place else. No one needs this aggravation when there spending 800 dollars on overpriced glasses 3 days before Christmas! My husband thinks I should ask for a refund for the glasses I never picked up because I promptly left after she looked at the lust. And took the other lady without acknowledging I had been sitting there waiting.

I was seen as a post concussion patient and left with inadequate care regarding my concerns. They could not figure out billing my insurance correctly. This became an extremely costly visit. And now they're giving info about my account out to anyone that asks. Not sure what is going on here.

I've been a patient of Dr. Anastasio's since Casco Bay Eyecare was known as Congress Eyecare, some 30+ years ago. I think that says it all

Woman on the phone was very rude and refused to give me an eye exam because my insurance won't cover it even though I said I would pay out of pocket. Really unprofessional establishment.
