First off, this is the first place that actually listend to my eye strain complaints and gave effective treatment. Next, after an unfortunate glasses mishap I took my bent up frames in for repair and Judy was able to return them to new condition at no charge. Top notch.

They fixed my aunts sunglasses for free! She had lost a screw but they got the right one for her and said it was no big deal. The receptionist was also lovely!

I was referred to Casco Bay Eyecare by a neighbor who has used them for years! They are by far the best place to go for an eye exam & glasses. My great experience started with an enthusiastic greeting by Debbie as soon as I walked in the door. Courtney & Dr. Amy Cyr gave me a super thorough eye exam. Then, Gina Namin pleasantly & patiently dealt with me while I tried on 25 different pairs for frames. She made sure they were just the right one & fit perfectly. Fast forward 6 months and I went back for a pair of prescription sunglasses. I needed a new style. Nick Howe was a huge help and pickled out a pair of sunglasses I would have never tried on myself. He was so good - my wife even loved the ones he picked out!. I just picked them up and Gina again made sure they fit perfectly. The best customer service I've received in a very long time.

Can't say enough about how great my experience was. I lost my glasses while on vacation and needed an updated prescription quickly. Debbie went above and beyond not only getting me an appointment but her upbeat attitude and thoughtfulness turned my day around. If I lived in Portland i'd be a costumer for life. Highly recommend. I cannot say enough about Casco Bay EyeCare and I'm not even a patient!! LET ME EXPLAIN! When we left New York on a cruise ship for our New England, 25th Anniversary Cruise, I did NOT expect to forget to pack my wife's contacts lenses. We were cruising into the Port Of Portland and I'm SO GLAD I decided to call Casco Bay EyeCare. When I called and explained my situation, that I was hoping they could somehow help with some kind of back up contacts for my wife, I was not expecting the happy, welcoming and accommodating attitude of everyone in the office! They told me to text over my wife's prescription and they jumped into action. Two hours later, we were in port and picking up back-up lenses that they had ready for us when we arrived. Sometimes, these days, businesses have a hard time taking care of their OWN patients let alone PERFECT STRANGERS from another state. This office was caring and understanding and even helped to make the situation light for my family and guaranteed a wonderful end to our vacation! They went out of their way when they didn't HAVE to... If you are LUCKY enough to live in the area served by this incredible office, RUN, don't walk, to become a patient and enjoy people who CARE!!

I've been a patient of the Fore St office for many years. Gina is an exceptional optician. She is familiar with the products, passionate about her work, and attentive to my eye wear needs. She takes all the time necessary to answer my questions. When I walk out of the office, I feel 100% satisfied with her care for my vision!

I went in to get my brand new sunglasses fixed. Gina very kindly fixed them for me *free of charge*. They could have easily charged me a token amount but they didn't. They just earned my trust and my future business. I'll recommend this place. Thank you for making my day a little more sweeter!

The staff and doctor at this place were beyond nice. I was visiting Portland from out of town, and accidentally forgot my contacts. I had stopped in to see if I could buy a pair - and the doctor was extremely accommodating and after reviewing my RX prescription provided a sample pair to get me through the weekend. I highly recommend this place strictly based on their great customer service. thanks!
