My visit was pleasant, efficient and professional from start to finish. Dr Cady and everyone I saw were all friendly and pleasant, while also being informative. I felt like I was in good hands

I am writing this review on behalf of my husband, Peter Libby. I cannot begin to tell you what a wonderful experience Peter had with Dr Cady. Peter initially was given a consult date with another doctor at Maine Eye for April 2026. Peter had no vision in his left eye due to cataract and his right eye was also causing problems with his vision. Fortunately, Peter's brother recently had surgery by Dr Cady and explained to Dr Cady that Peter could hardly see and needed to drive in order to take his wife to her doctors appointments as she has been extremely sick. With Dr Cady's assistance, Dr Cady was able to get Peter in to see him immediately for a consultation. Cataract surgery was performed less than a week later. Peter and I are so grateful, and appreciate Dr Cady and his staff for all their assistance and care. Thank you so much!

A new provider to Maine Eye Center. Very knowledgeable, gentle and kind. I'm happy to have been referred there. It's a bit of a distance away, but worth the trip.

Just had my first cataract surgery with Dr. Cady. He is the best! Knowledgeable and caring! Pre and post op staff were attentive and thorough. I look forward to my second cataract surgery with less anxiety and more confidence. Thank you, Dr. C and staff!

Had cataract surgery for both eyes. I had put it off for awhile, being uncomfortable with the thought of it. So happy I finally got it done. Dr. Cady was friendly, explained everything in detail, answered all questions, and made me feel comfortable. Would highly recommend.

I got a referral to this allegedly in-network place and spent six weeks trying to get an appointment for an ophthalmologist. Finally got everything in order, then was dismissively told by the "triage" line that they wouldn't see me and I should just "go to the VA because they have ophthalmologists too". Apparently being denied care due to military affiliation is how this place operates.

I had an excellent experience! The procedures (cataracts - both eyes) went well and everyone I interacted with through both surgeries were professional, responsive and polite. Communications and directions were thorough, clear and sometimes repetitive, but the repetition was clearly precautionary to make sure there were no mistakes. I can't believe the difference in my eyesight and how simple everything was as a patient. This was definitely one of, if not the best experience I have had as a patient in the delivery system.
