Dr. K has that rare combination of incredible expertise and a warm, friendly personality that immediately puts you at ease. He takes the time to listen, explain everything clearly, and make sure you understand your options without ever feeling rushed. The exam was thorough and modern, and I left feeling confident that my eye health was in the best hands possible. Dr. K caught details other providers have overlooked in the past and customized his recommendations to fit my lifestyle perfectly. It's clear he truly cares about his patients' well-being, not just their prescriptions. The entire team at Harbor View is also fantastic--professional, efficient, and so pleasant to work with. I've been a patient at Harbor View Eye Care for over 7 years, and until recently, I trusted them to provide ethical, transparent care. That trust was tested when I was charged $285 for a pair of Oakley OX8187 Cerebral eyeglass frames, which retail for $255 on Oakley's official website.When I inquired about the discrepancy, I was told the higher price was due to tariffs and other cost factors. However, Oakley's MSRP has remained unchanged at $255 for over a year, and already reflects import duties and distribution costs. No itemized breakdown was provided to justify the markup or explain whether additional services were included.As someone who values clarity and fairness, I found the lack of pricing transparency disappointing. It's not just about the dollar amount--it's about the principle. Long-term patients deserve clear communication and ethical billing, especially when trust has been built over many years.I hope this review encourages others to verify pricing and request itemized receipts before committing to purchases.

I had Dr. Burrill and she was so personable, I've had glasses my whole life but never actually had them explain to me what an astigmatism is until now. Chelsea and Jessica helped me find the perfect glasses and they were so helpful at finding frames that fit my face as well as helping me understand my insurance policy and what would work best for me financially. Well worth the hour drive!

I've been a long time patient of Dr. K and can't say enough good things about this practice and the care I receive. You never feel rushed with Dr. K and he takes the time to answer any and all questions you may have. I feel 100% confident that Dr. K gives me the best possible guidance for my vision needs. I recently obtained a new pair of glasses. Had an issue with them where the lenses popped out from the frame one night. I showed up the next morning without an appointment and was quickly paired with a technician. I told them it was perfectly fine to send them back to be fixed (since I had a backup pair) but they went ahead and took the display frame from the wall, put my lenses in, and I was back out the door within 15 minutes. Great service all around.

I'm delighted with my experience at Harbor View Eye Care! From the moment I called to make an appointment, I was met with the kindest staff. I was very impressed with how organized they were -- I received all the paperwork digitally beforehand, so during my appointment I just checked in and was quickly seen by the doctor. Just as impressive was the fact that they are well-staffed. The level of professionalism at Harbor View Eye Care is phenomenal. Dr. Burrill was the absolute best. She took her time during our visit, asked many questions, and truly made me feel at ease. The rest of the staff was also kind and respectful. I ordered my new glasses from them and within a week I got a call saying they were ready to be picked up. So glad I found my new eye doctor!

Long-overdue review update coming soon. I really like them, but am still running into problems - I've been trying to get my contact lens prescription finalized for a week - I was supposed to get a call Monday, didn't get the call, so I called them and was to get an email or call back, but did not so I called them again, and still have not gotten a call back. I really like the doctors, the equipment is ultra modern, and they welcome theoretical questions (like, I have always been curious why color perception differs between my eyes despite not having any sort of color blindness) and [it turns out it's normal neorological processing of vision where one eye's information is received and processed before the other and most people don't even notice the subtle difference between the eyes], but logistics is something they are struggling with due to temporary staffing issues. I know they're working on getting things sorted out but it's having an impact on my trying to work things out to get things in on time for both insurance and business travel reasons and trying to get there during their optical center hours is often difficult because I often end up working until 5:30pm, and the optical center closes at 5:15pm.

Terrible. Gave me a price on new lenses. I drove an hour and a half and they reneged on price. And they lost the original lenses from another pair. Dr K is a great eye doctor. But the glasses department is a shady operation. They definitely lost a customer today. Update: They rectified lost lens situation. Unfortunately the sunglasses I received from them gave me headaches immediately. They finally refunded me on these but not after trying to send me out the door with them, saying: "I should get used to them."
