If I could give less than one star I would. The manager at this location is very rude and I will not return here again. I had prescription lenses put in meta glasses and the script was wrong. I wanted to wear them over my contact lenses not as a full vision prescription. While they worked to correct that issue, I wanted to put the Ray-Ban lenses back in the glasses so that I could use them until the new lenses came in. The optician was willing to do that but the manager said no because they weren't their lenses. Even if they had just taken out the prescription lenses which had been placed by them, I could have put the Ray Ban lenses in myself. I ended up going to the Pikesville location and they took care of it for me no problem, in less than 10 minutes. They even set me up to see another optometrist just to double check the script that they gave me in Towson to make sure it was correct. With the exception of Andrea and the other optician whose name I did not get, the Towson location is the pits!! Stay far away!
i've had nothing but positive experiences every time i've gone here. although i find that they have quite a few patients per day, they're very quick and you'll spend no more than an hour there.
i purchased my absolute favorite pair of glasses from here and when anything went wrong, they were quick to help me fix my issue! 10/10 i will continue coming back.
I had a great experience at MyEyeDr! The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional from start to finish. They took the time to answer all of my questions and made sure I felt comfortable throughout my visit. Everything was well organized, and I never felt rushed. I truly appreciate the excellent customer service and would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for quality eye care.
A few things really bothered me about this location.
When I arrived, staff seemed more focused on incoming weather and canceling other clients than on the appointment in front of them. I also regret agreeing to a "remote" doctor visit. Most of my exam was done by the front desk staff, and my actual time with the remote doctor was only 1-2 minutes after spending about 45-60 minutes in the office.
The biggest issue: equipment hygiene. None of the machines were cleaned in front of me, and one device was visibly dirty with makeup/oil. I had to ask for it to be wiped down. Since the visit, my eyes have been irritated and bloodshot, and I'm genuinely concerned something wasn't handled properly. One handheld device (used on my eyes repeatedly to get a reading) was extremely uncomfortable, and I couldn't tell if it was handled in a sterile way.
After the exam, I was immediately pressured to buy glasses ("You're buying glasses today, right?"). The sales interaction felt pushy, not informative, and many frames on the floor were grimy. Pricing also felt inflated (frames/lenses showing very high "retail" pricing even with insurance), which left a bad impression.
Finally, the prescription paperwork didn't include all the info needed to order elsewhere (like pupillary distance).
Overall: disappointing experience, poor cleaning practices, rushed remote doctor time, and aggressive sales pressure.
I am so confused by the negative reviews on this store because mine was completely opposite of what others have said. From check-in, to the doctor- everyone was amazing. Marie, the front desk was so pleasant and took her time to explain the virtual process to me. I was a bit nervous at first, but the experience was awesome.
I had Monica as my remote technician and her southern drawl coupled with her patience made the experience so fun. I thought it would be AI, but I had real people and Dr. Hsiao was so funny and kind. His dad jokes just topped off the visit perfectly.
The lady who helped me with my glasses took her time to help me find the frame best for my face. She was honest and told me which ones would look best on me. I am telling my entire family to come here. The entire experience was wonderful. Thank you to everyone there.
Try them out for yourself and I can guarantee you will not be disappointed.
Great experience for me, staff was attentive when I was late to my appointment and wait wasn't too long although busy. The doctor was very knowledgeable as well as very pleasant. It only took two days for my glasses to be ready and I would go back for glasses as needed.
Will not be returning to this location! I never had any issues with my eye doctor locations prior to this specific one! If you have over an hour time to spend here have at it!!! They also do not tell you ahead of your appointment you will not be seeing an actual doctor and you receive virtual
Care that is $44-$45 with or without insurance. The receptionist as soon as you walk in is not helpful she was the same one I spoke with prior to appointment to make sure if anything is owed for a special contact lens's exam. No personality nothing. I saw two different doctors via video!!! They both took 5-10 minutes to come on line while you're back there! After all of that I was told my visit was $120 as a nice surprise to top the longest appointment I ever had at an eye exam. Save your time and money go elsewhere!!! I will be going back to York and calling my insurance in the morning.
I got a call on Friday to confirm my Monday appt- I call back to confirm Saturday AM first thing AND received a text on Sunday confirming my appointment. All of this to arrive Monday afternoon and be told my appointment was canceled and never confirmed in their system. Even though I CALLED to confirm. This is NOT the first time this has happened. I will not be returning as this is not reliable, and I took time off of work to get a prescription I really need.
