Optical Fair

I asked for an appointment for eye trauma, they scheduled it same day and I felt relief. Then I arrive and the receptionist is too busy watching tv to bother to ask for my id and insurance card in any timely manner. They also then proceed to explain that an optometrist (the only eye doctors they have) arent' qualified to evaluate eye trauma anyway. They didnt apologize for misleading me with the appt. Rude, definitely go anywhere else

So first off I want to say that the black women Vicky who sits at the front desk discriminates a lot, I came in with two of my clients and she said to make sure they had a mask on which is fine. But when I looked around none of the other guest had mask on, none of the workers had mask on besides the doctor. Not even rude Vicky herself had a mask on. Her ability to answer the phone and have a professional conversation sucks. They really should switch out the receptionist cause she has poor adequate. *side note* Every review I have read says bad things about the front staff, I'm pretty they talking about Vicky (the women in the grey shirt).

I Absolutely Love it here!!! I'm always greeted kindly!!! The guy who's been working there for 6 months is amazing!! ( wish I knew his name) but great conversationalist and great vibes.

The Gentleman Optician who helped me is new and i had a great experience, good addition to the team. He gave recommendations for frames and add on features to help with my sun sensitivity.

I had an awful experience with customer service on the phone. The lady was not knowledgeable at all and cost me to cancel an appointment that i made months ago because i wasn't sure i was making an appointment in the right place !! Sucks

So I've taken my son here for the past 5-6 years I have taken my son here, why I have continued is beyond me. Maybe due to convenience of location and the doctors are very friendly and great. However, the front staff makes a horrible experience every single time. Whether it be on the phone or in office. Appointments are made months and I mean months out. Then you wait for said appointment for about 3-5 months and they call you the day before saying it's being cancelled. You call to reschedule and have to deal with the nasty attitude and unprofessional staff. Daphne, which I'm sure she's the manager for the length of time she's been there, is very very nasty, disrespectful, rude, condescending and unprofessional. She makes the business look very bad and I would bet has lost a large amount of business for the doctors. After my son's glasses arrive, I definitely will be going to another place. Also going to BBB as I've had enough disrespectful over the years. I'm not sure how she's even held a job this long working with the public.

I've been a customer of this location for over 10 years. My entire family has been going to this location as well for over 20 years. After today, I will no longer deal with any of the front staff other than Daphne. I was unfortunately late to my appointment but when I arrived I was met with immediate attitude by two women at the front desk (One brown skin with long Locs I believe and one very fair skin with black neck length hair). There was another woman there who is always pleasant and she was assisting a customer with frames. These two women were short and disrespectful because they were unable to look up my insurance information. After telling me that I do not have coverage for contacts, which I do, they essentially proceeded to ignore me. As I continued to try to provide them with the correct documentation, one of the women proceeds to say that since I was late they would have to take another customer ahead of me. After this I politely asked if I could just reschedule my appointment as to not take up more of their time. The woman told me yes I could call to reschedule. I asked if I could do it now since I was actually in the store. She told me no. When I asked why she said "Because it's during doctors hours". I took the business card from her and asked during what hours do they do scheduling and she said "Well we close at 6 today". So I clarified that I couldn't schedule at the desk but needed to call in? And she said "Yes". As I walked out the store I called the number and was immediately put on hold to reschedule. I have NEVER experienced service like this at this location but I also have never had to deal with these two women. I did not feel like a 10 year customer at all.

No point of coming to any Optical Fair centers if you have an outside prescription from another doctor (you have to see their doctor to get glasses). Manager Daphne Alston's crazy new rules just lost them from having more business coming in. That's not good management style.
