The Frame Mender While-U-Wait Eyeglass Repairs

My glasses are being held hostage! This place is a scam. I dropped my glasses off and paid for them here at the end of October with plans to pick them up on the following Wednesday in November. When I arrived, there was a sign that says "no one will be here to service you until December 4!" a month later?! I arrived on the following Saturday, December 6, and there was a sign that said the store would not be open until the following week on December 10 or something. I cannot get there on a weekday and planned to come on that Saturday to get my glasses. They are still closed with no calendar on the door to show when they will be open!!! I just want my sunglasses back After I left them for a simple repair! This is extremely frustrating! What am I supposed to do, drive to Rockville? That is unacceptable for a simple service. I should have gone to the optical shop. Oh, and no one answers the phone and the voicemail is full. Is this place on money laundering front?

I broke my glasses at work and tried to Krazy Glue them back together. That did not last. I went to an eyeglass place to see if I could get new frames to put my glasses in- they didn't have any but they did refer me to The Frame Mender. They got most of the glue off AND mended my frames so that they were almost new! There is still a little glue on my lenses, but that is completely my fault. I absolutely recommend this place for every glasses wearing person!

I sent my Cartier sunglasses out to be fixed. I packaged them well inside their soft case and then placed them inside a box with bubble wrap. They sent them back poorly packaged causing my lens to chip. When I called and emailed them to complain they sarcastically told me that I could send my frames back and they would undo the repair. I wrote them back stating that my lenses would cost $400 for Cartier to fix them and even getting them fixed at another store would cost $100. They would not refund me my money and I had to pay another store to fix my lenses. I was very disappointed with their service and attitude. I would not recommend them at all. I would think that being a company that "repairs sunglasses" they would know how to properly package them, just like I did.

I fell and crushed expensive Ogi frames. Nobody local could fix them, preferring to sell me a new set of frames (and lenses) for $1000. Found this site on the web. Contacted the company (which responded immediately!). Two days later they were fixed and on their way back. Total cost: $50. What a find.

I mailed my glasses in for repair, and they did a great job! They're like new and can't even tell where they were fixed.

Nailed it. Turned around a pair of glasses by mail in about 2 business days, whereas my local opticians thought I was joking when I asked for a repair. Great communication by email too. Highly recommended.
