The entire team was wonderful -- from the front desk to the staff who helped us choose and properly fit my son's glasses. Everyone was patient, helpful, and made the visit easy and comfortable.
Highly recommend this practice for excellent pediatric eye care!

My first review was taken down because of how honest I was. I will sugar coat it. Janine Smith-Marshall, MD is unpleasant and not good with patients. The front desk was nice but that is about it.

My child was a patient at MPO for the past 12 years. During my recent visit, the staff was rude and unprofessional. I had an issue with their new office policy that required a credit card be maintained on file. I let the receptionist know that I didn't feel comfortable given the recent data breach at another medical office. I had my insurance company contact their office to verify my coverage, but was still refused care unless I paid the entire bill upfront. Dr. Marshall was aware of the situation and ignored me. I would never recommend this practice given the lack of professional courtesy.

Dr. Smith-Marshall is one of a small number of doctors trained to perform strabismus surgery, a procedure to correct misalignment of the eyes. She also chose to specialize in the visual health of children. As a veteran of a half dozen eye surgeries, and someone who has suffered with poor vision since childhood, I know what the competent, caring practice of ophthalmology and optometry look like. Dr. Smith-Marshall is a uniquely capable practitioner, surgeon and educator in the field. At 74 years old, I'm seeing as well as I ever have.

The front desk staff was very friendly, but doctor Janine Smith-Marshal was very unprofessional. She gave a diagnosis and just told us to get glasses without explaining what the diagnosis meant. Also her attitude towards our 3 year old was cold and unfriendly. She never smile at him and ignored him when he was talking to her duringthe eye exam. He would say thank you doctor multiple times and she couldn't even say you're welcome once. We didn't have a good experience with her. And we won't go back there.

My 7 month old twins had scheduled appointments for 1:15 pm we were asked to arrive a few minutes early which we did, check in process went well but as time went by we ended up waiting more than 30 minutes I kindly asked the receptionist what was going why the hold up her answer was " your daughters are to young and they have to see the tech and doctor" i said that's ridiculous so why would you give me an appointment time and not abide by that. This place is ridiculous I was there for 1 hour and for no reason think twice before coming here.
