Visionworks Bowie Town Center

Terrible experience at the Bowie, MD location. I ordered a one-month supply of contact lenses and waited two weeks without receiving any call or update. I decided to stop by the store, only to be told that my contacts had never been ordered. I was assured they would place the order and that it would be ready within 7-10 days. Once again, I waited two weeks and received no call. I returned to the store, and the woman at the front desk told me the contacts had already been picked up a few days earlier. I explained that neither my wife nor I had picked them up, and we are the only two authorized to do so. She repeatedly insinuated that one of us must have collected them. I calmly explained multiple times that we did not pick up the contacts. Instead of helping resolve the issue, she became dismissive and said she was tired of me "explaining myself" and didn't want to keep reordering the contacts, as if I were trying to get extra boxes. I felt accused and treated like a thief. I clearly expressed how uncomfortable and frustrated I felt, but she showed no concern. In the end, she agreed to reorder the contacts one more time and stated it would be the last time. This was the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered. I truly hope I receive my contacts, but I would not recommend this location to anyone.

Impersonal and cold from beginning to end. Since they overbooked many appointments all at the same time, the wait was unreasonable with not enough space or chairs for us to wait, crammed in together in a small space. From the cashiers to the exams, this was a rushed and also unsanitary process. Equipment that touches your face should be cleaned in between exams. Not so here. Pretty yuck. Bedside manner of the doctor and staff are lacking and rushed. Will not return. Glasses selection looked plentiful.

I had the best experience from the associates when I walked in! They were very much helpful by answering questions, picking out frames, and getting me the best deals for my money! The doctor was patient and answered all questions and conserns as well as explaining the health of my eyes and how it affects my vision! They made my experience wonderful!

VisionLink eye exams here are smooth and seamless. Leah is very professional. Didn't find any frames my style, wish they had more modern and varied styles to pick from, for more savings.

Excellent comprehensive service from start to finish. The entire staff and medical professionals welcomed me with warmth, expertise and absolute efficiency. This was one of my best experiences ever. I thoroughly appreciated the top-notch, curren vision equipment implemented throughout the process.

My recent visit to Visionworks was incredibly frustrating. When I arrived to shop for glasses, an associate acknowledged me but remained seated across the sales floor, watching videos on her phone and wearing a Bluetooth earpiece that played music audibly throughout our entire interaction...including the purchase. It felt like a clear signal that helping customers wasn't her priority. I browsed on my own, found a pair of glasses, and had to approach her to start the purchase. When I asked if there were other models in the same brand, she said she could only look them up if I had the SKU number. It felt more like I was interrupting her than being helped. About a week later, I came back to pick up the glasses after getting a pickup notification. When I entered, a different associate asked what I needed, and I said I was there for pickup. She told me to wait off to the side and I did. Then, another man walked in after me asking about available frames. Instead of finishing my pickup, she began helping him...searching the system and eventually chatting with him casually while checking her phone. I was left waiting, completely ignored, for over 15 minutes. When she finally brought my glasses over, she simply said, "They're already paid for, so you can leave when you want." I asked if they could tighten my old pair of glasses. She said yes just bring in the old pair and we can fix them. I then told her that I had the old pair with me and she simply said, "Not today." No explanation. The store was not busy, and there were still three hours until closing. When I asked again, if she could fix them today to save me a trip coming back, she simply repeated, "Not today." I said, Ok and walked out confused and honestly a little stunned. It wasn't just unhelpful -- it felt pointed. I can't say for sure why I was treated so dismissively, but when someone else walks in after you and receives full attention while you're made to wait without cause, it's hard not to wonder if bias played a role. I was given no other explanation. I get that the abhorrent behavior of our president has everyone on edge but that's still not a good excuse. This experience made me feel like my time and my business didn't matter. I won't be returning, and I would strongly caution others before doing business at this location.

My experience at Visionworks in Bowie Town Center was first-rate. They had new high technology equipment to examine your eyes for such things as cataracts and retinopathy. A Specialist performed an aye-chart exam by television. The Optometrist consulted by television, also. She discussed the results of the exams and asked if there were any questions. I went back to the front of the store for final adjustments on the frames I picked out earlier and payment. With a 50% discount and VSP Vision Insurance's new , I paid $357.96, total. The two items which cost the most of the total cost were, the Digital Progressive Polycarbonate Smart Screens (lens) $250.00 and Elite Non-Glare (2pcoating) $85.00.

Very good service. Pleasant reps. Knowledgeable, friendly, and gave me all possible discounts. Much better environment than My Eye Dr. In Bowie Update: Alexis was terrific!! She identified the reason why I had not received my glasses due to error in my order (which she did NOT make). She provided superior service and was pleasant and customer-focused. Ask for Alexis!!
