Visionworks Wildewood Shopping Center

I had an evening appointment and the staff were all busy when I walked in. I was immediately acknowledged, greeted and checked in. I decided to used my wait time to get a head start on browsing, takes me forever to find the frames for me. I had arrived 20 minutes early so I was prepared to wait. It didn't take long for the office to clear and I was off to the back room. The staff implemented teamwork and professionalism. All three of the employees helped make my experience a great one. The only downfall was having to get up and slide the chair to each of the four machines to test the eye. If the chair had wheels at there was a bench I could slide from right to left but that was all. They all reminded me of my insurance benefits and helped me find the perfect frames. It was honestly the greatest Visionworks experience I'd ever had.

Dr Renerick Slack was amazing. He was on time, thorough and answered all my many questions. We even shared a few laughs. Best eye exam ever. Hands down! When I was being measured and deciding on my glasses, Andy ( I hope that was his name. He had an amazing beard and sunglasses taste)was very detailed in his explanation of my insurance benefits and made me feel important. While assisting me he still managed to greet customers who walked in and answered the phone professionally without skipping a beat. Start to finish was fast, easy and actually enjoyable.

The eye doctor was very personable and very professional took lots of time with us never felt rushed and did a very thorough exam. I would highly recommend. Also the associates were very professional and afterwards spent lots of time picking out the right frames and explaining the bill and the insurance, I was very pleased and would highly recommend this place to others.

Even though they were extra busy everyone was acknowledged and taken care of. I was able to have my exam, while Mom and I, both, ordered glasses. Alex was patient and very accommodating ensuring our orders were complete and follow-up appointments were scheduled. All was well taken care of. Dr. Slack was great to work with as he performed my exam.

The staff was very professional and accommodating. The doctor was very knowledgeable and patient as I asked questions about the various test I has received. I highly recommend this location if you want to go where you feel you can be heard.

If you have issues of any kind with your eyes, I recommend that you see Dr Slack! I very much appreciated his professionalism, attention to detail and his ability to communicate his diagnosis and corrective action. I was very much relieved by his exam, the results and path forward. I honestly did not know that Eye Doctors like Dr Slack existed any more! Thank you! And a shout out to Mahogany who helped me, a very picky person, find the right frames for me! Thank you to you as well!

They're rude and very unprofessional. I walked in for my appointment, I wasn't addressed until literally 5 minutes after walking in mind you both "opticians" looked up at me. Now I completely understand why their patients come to my manager and I for their glasses needs. I'm an Optician and I enjoy my job. Visionworks needs to do some reconsidering with their hires. Because the stories I hear on a daily from my patients are insane. But continue to be rude I'll continue to gladly fill any and all Rx that comes to my place of employment from your poor establishment.

My recent visit at Visionworks on 10/10/25 was overall delightful and time efficient. When entering into the Visionworks site I was greeted by Alex an associate that advised my daughter Sydney and myself to please look around for a pair of glasses while you wait and he checked us in the system. Then about 10-15 mins later my daughter and I we're called back for exam by Lauren an eye technician She was polite and explained a special eye test they could also do to detect diabetes and other health risk issues. In the end, of both exams for my daughter Sydney and I we were ask to go with Dr Slack to finish up the exam for contacts and eye glass exams. On the way, to his room I seen the Manager Katie and she was delightful to see since I known her from Church. Then Dr. Slack greeted us and performed the test and asked any question I had about seeing an optometrist to take a special for possible glaucoma in one eye. Overall, Dr. Slack was engaging and fun for my daughter with her exam as well as mine. Lastly, I was assisted and checked out by the assistant manager Danny and he was fun, delightful, engaging assisted us in selecting our overall glasses we needed and the pricing and home delivery for my contacts. And as a bonus he even played a kid song for my daughter while we were checking out. So our experience was well as efficient, engaging, and overall a delightful experience for the Smith Beach family. Thank you Visionworks for another great year of customer service!
