Special Eye Care

I had a wonderful experience at Specialty Eye Care in Camp Springs, Maryland. Dr. Bunyon provided truly exceptional care--he was thorough, knowledgeable, and took the time to make sure all of my concerns were addressed. The entire staff was equally impressive: engaging, professional, and genuinely kind, which made the visit comfortable from start to finish. I felt well cared for and confident in the services provided. I highly recommend Dr. Bunyon and the team at Specialty Eye Care for anyone seeking excellent eye care

The professionalism of the staff at Special Eye Care is optium. I have been a patient for years. I love that the Doctors' staff is comprised of young Black women. The young lady that assisted me with choosing my new glasses was very knowledgable and engaging. She expressed in our conversation that she was persuming a career in the field. I truly appreciate the mentorship and opportunity the doctors are providing for the next generation of black eye doctors. I will always choose a business that uplifts our own. Thank you the for the great customer service.

I always look forward to my annual eye exam. The staff is very family oriented because so is Dr. B. The selection of eyewear is always vast and unique from top brands to small businesses. The location and free available parking is always a plus as is the decor which is welcoming. I've recommended them to 2 people just from today's visit. Keep up the great work we appreciate you taking care of our family's eyes.

Not a great experience. Used my VSP benefits in December and made it very clear that I needed glasses ASAP. I was advised I could get them within a week (visit was 10 Dec 2026) as long as I paid a 30$ rush fee. I called after the first week and they were not in. Was advised they would come that Saturday- they did not arrive. They did not arrive the week after. I called both locations, left a VM and a text message... no response. I called VSP and they went through the exact same thing, with the office not responding by phone. By the time they came in, I was out of town and currently still out. I ended up getting another eye exam and glasses somewhere else. When I asked for a refund, Dr. Lamont wanted to mail glasses to my vacation location- this was NOT an option. When I asked VSP why Dr. Lamont and his team would advise me that a rush on my glasses was given as an option, I was told that VSP does NOT do rush orders in the month of December. When I asked if the doctor knew this, I was advised that he was definitely aware of this, and they were unsure why it was offered. All I want is a refund for my glasses AND benefits, due to not being able to reach the office for cancelation and for being misled about my order. But apparently Dr. Lamont's office is refusing to do this. Very sad, as I don't need two (2) pairs and I am still out of town.

I have been a customer of Special Eye Care for several years. Special Eye Care maintains state of the art equipment and the services are always A plus. Dr. Bunyon and his staff always make me feel welcomed and well informed!

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Bunyon for a number of years, he and his staff have always been very professional. Love the ease of making appointments, there is never a long wait when we arrive and the doctor takes he time withe the exam.

I've been seeing Dr. Bunyon for over 10 years and I appreciate the good customer service as well as the friendly staff. Very insightful if you lack knowledge of optometry and having 2 locations is a plus!
