Columbia Family Eye Care

This is a VA preferred community eye exam center , therefore the review is solely on an annual eye exam experience. Staff were friendly and exam was thorough. Inside the shop was clean and well organized. Parking is convenient. Even though I didn't order glasses here but from the prices they told me, they do have a good selection of reasonably priced frames. Definitely was a satisfactory first experience.

My lens fell out of my eyeglasses and my ear cushions were falling apart. They put the lens back in and put on new ear cushions for free and very timely. You will not find a better eye exam and glasses fitting in Howard county.

First experience was great! Staff and doctor were very nice. Large variety of frames to choose from and the office was very clean and organized. Would definitely recommend!

Ordered glasses. Went to pick them up. They couldn't find my glasses. When they did find them, they were all smudged so I asked for a cloth and wiped them myself. I could not see through them, clearly there was an issue. I allowed them to access the problem and turns out Haley typed in my prescription wrong. They offered to reorder the correct lenses and I said no thank you, I just want my money back I'm not impressed. Haley said, "you're not impressed by a typo? I'm dyslexic. This happens all the time" and laughed. So... I'm wondering why is someone with dyslexia not triple checking her work when she's entering prescriptions in? She is wasting company money and costumer's time. Anyways, I go pick up my food that I was hoping to enjoy while wearing my new glasses but instead was dealing with terrible customer service and service in general. Maybe if the glasses weren't $352 I wouldn't have been so let down. When I got back from getting my food (I was hungry as I was on my lunch break) another lady asked for my current glasses to run a prescription check and see if I was lying basically. Well turns out they were the ones who messed up and not once apologized, in fact treated me terribly. I was eating my food in there by the way. I paid cash and was told they don't have $352 cash to give me and I'd have to come back the following Monday. They refused to let me speak to the owner who I was to meet with Monday for my cash. I asked the name of the worker that was rude to me and she popped out from the back and yelled "HALEY" with multiple other customers in the store. Extremely unprofessional. When I came back Monday the owner gave me my cash and didn't ask any questions about my experience or apologize for what I dealt with. Terrible terrible service ALL around. From start to finish.

Signed the contract for CRT contact lens treatment for my kid for $2000. It includes the lens fitting and follow up visits. When signing the contract, I specifically asked if it would cover any discomfort or anything wrong during the CRT contact wearing. They answered yes. No one told me the infection was not covered. During one of the follow-up, I talked with the doctor about eye infection, he encouraged me to make same day visit if infection happens and said the infection could be due to many reasons and it could be sign the lens does not fit well. So, It again assured me that my understanding of the contract is correct that any discomfort or other symptom related to the CRT lens would be taken care by the doctor under the contact. Then the infection happened and I took my daughter there for a visit. I was asked to pay $115 co-pay because they claim "the infection is not caused by CRT". How should I know if it was cause by CRT or not before seeing a doctor, and I have no idea infection is not covered? I argue with them and they just said they are sorry if I have the "impression" that the contract covers this kind of visit. I stopped arguing with them and paid because there are many other customers and I do not want to make them looking at us or feel uncomfortable. But I'm very angry and disappointed with them.

Last week I went to Columbia Family Eye Care for the first time, for a routine eye exam. I was extremely well satisfied with how everything was done. Everyone in the office was very friendly, helpful and efficient. Both Dr. Hess and his assistant were very knowledgeable and thorough in doing the examination, and took the time to explain the process and results, and to answer my questions. I definitely plan to return there in the future, and highly recommend this practice.

Have been here twice with my daughter for our annual eye examinations and have always been impressed. The front staff is courteous and helpful from booking the appointment to checking-out/payment. I've been most impressed with how the technicians and doctor have helped with my young daughter. They're very patient, explaining every step of the exam and tests to both me and her, and made us feel very at ease. I highly recommend.

Been to a multiplicity of optometrists over the years, and Dr. Leslie Toll is FAR superior and her practice at Family Eye Care in Clarksville! Extremely thorough & knowledgeable. Super duper friendly & sweet. Can't get any better! Would absolutely suggest to anybody. 10/10 recommend. Suite of her practice location is also very nice as well. Call now!!
