Had a great experience at their office. I was a bit worried going in because of the negative reviews. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My 13 month old was very upset and uncooperative during the exam but Dr. Andorsky was very patient and you can tell he has lots of experience working with kids. They also have a fun waiting room for kids.
omg I really hate places that are rude especially when is a pediatric office. Unfortunately, we had a very negative experience. Without realizing it, we scheduled an eye exam for our child at a location that was over an hour away. As soon as we noticed, we called to explain the situation because it was NOT ON PURPOSE THANK YOU!
The person who answered the phone was extremely rude and dismissive, especially for a pediatric office. She told us "you should have called earlier and not now" and then hung up on our faces.
We understand policies exist, and this was an honest mistake, not something done on purpose. However, there is no reason to treat parents this way or to hang up the phone ON OUR FACES. if you CANNOT work with people OR HAVE SIMPLE MANNERS THEN QUIT YOUR JOB! BUT PARENTS TAKE THEIR CHILDREN TO THESE PLACE SO BE NICE AND HAVE SOME MANNERS AT LEAST IF NOT why do you work as a customer service ? when you cannot even speak without being rude ? its hilarious to me honestly.
Kindness and professionalism are essential, especially when working with children and families. Thanks God at least we discover it was one hour ago at last minute because places like this should be closed. now go and say this review was lie or something! Really change your staff!
Front desk staff are rude. Dr. Andorsky was rough while administering eye drops in my 4 month olds eyes, manners are horrible. Acts like a 4 month old should know how to "cooperate". Any and all concerns were brushed off, he was practically running out the door while I was asking questions about his "diagnosis". Awful experience. Not a single person uses gloves either. If I could Give a 0 I would.
Dr andorsky has the worst manners for working in pediatric eye care. He eas short and impatient woth my 3yo exam. Ignored my concerns with his vision and made me feel very brushed off.
The practice it's located in a nice environment with a clean facility. However, the front desk staff, were anything but welcoming, where the staff would not look up to speak more then 1 or 2 words. They would not greet you or engage with the pediatric population that they serve. The nurses and the doctors were friendly. They were able to explain the test/procedure that were to be done that day.
While the procedures were explained a prior authorization for these procedures from from the insurance company were never obtained by the staff at this location. Nonetheless, a bill was sent necessitating the payment for these tests that weren't covered by the insurance company for this routine eye exam for a child.
My advice for anybody going to this practice would be to double check with the front desk staff no matter how unwelcoming, they are to make sure these routine exam tests and procedures will be covered by the insurance company, and proceed accordingly.
Be advised that once the invoices for these tests that are not covered by the insurance company starts coming, the staff and the billing department are not gonna be so helpful either.
Good luck !
Walking into the office the front desk staff was friendly as well as our initial contact with the technician who did the initial eye exam screening. Dr. Andorsky on the other hand didn't come off so friendly especially for a pediatric eye doctor. When he initially walked in, he didn't bother to greet us, no eye contact with my child or myself; I however extended a greeting. He sat down and let out a huge yawn, which to me gave off "let me just get this over and done with." During the exam, my child let out a slight cough while covering his cough with his sleeved elbow (which is how it's taught to my child) Dr. Andorsky immediately sledded back with his chair, which I can understand, however the part that really ticked me off was when Dr. Andorsky sat next to my child and let out the exact same cough in the air without covering HIS cough. I believe If my child has sense enough to cover his cough, I think a doctor should also have good enough sense to also know to cover HIS cough, especially in a close small room. Apart from that, I didn't appreciate the tone he used while talking to my child, he also came of really "snappy." I mean if he had a long tired and sleepless night that's on him, no one is forcing him to work, he needs to handle that on his own. As for me and my child...WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING!
I brought my one month old for a possible clogged tear duct, Dr Andorsky and the staff were terrific!
My experience with Dr. Andorsky and his staff was great. My diagnosis, surgery and recovery went exactly according to plan. Dr. Andorsky was very patient and informative throughout the entire process. And believe me, my wife and I both asked a LOT of questions. I have no hesitation giving he and his staff 5 stars. Highly recommend.
