I had an appointment scheduled for today. I was late, but within the 15 min time frame and the doctor refused to see me. Deleted my appointment from mychart. Per the receptionist the earliest appointment available would be in April. I will now need to find a new eye doctor!

Extremely unprofessional and rude -- do not visit!
I had an appointment for my three sons and even took them out of school to attend. When we arrived, the receptionist rolled her eyes and said the appointment was cancelled because the doctor, Dr. Asifa Shafi, is "new" and supposedly not covered by our insurance. This was a complete lie -- and on top of that, they didn't have the courtesy to call ahead and inform me.
We were left waiting until the last minute only to be turned away. This is the second time this office has done this. Their lack of professionalism, honesty, and basic respect for patients is unacceptable. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere!

Be aware that this office has committed fraud...In 2024 they claimed that my routine vision screening was "medical" they then somehow obtained my medical insurance and billed that leaving me with a balance because my deductible hadn't been met. I then had to argue with them in 2025 during my visit that only my vision insurance should be billed as I have complete coverage for an annual vision screening. Low and behold when it was billed to vision zero payment due, of course I had to argue with the people in the office for 15 minutes to bill my vision insurance.
I have followed up with the office of the attorney general for Maryland.

I never leave reviews, but I had to leave one for this office. I ordered contacts over 2 months ago and it was a nightmare to get a fitting for them. It took over 2 weeks for them to schedule my 15 minute appointment for them. Everytime I would call I was told someone will call me back. No one ever calls back. Now I'm waiting for my 2 week follow up and my appointments have been rescheduled numerous times and cancelled without anyone letting me know. Do not recommend this office.

Do yourself a favor and don't come here. It is a mess. My daughter came here two times and it took MONTHS to get them to finally put my insurance correctly in the system. Secondly, we had an appointment coming up and they called and said they had to cancel it. Okay, I understand, things happen. Then they called and said they had to cancel the second rescheduled appointment a week later and that they didn't have anything available for over a month. What a waste of time. Don't bother with this place. The doctors here are great but everything else, not so much.

The worst experiences so far!! I did an eye exam and started a lens fitting. BUT my lens doesn't come in two month!!! So I called them to cancel my procedure (cuz I did it somewhere else) and ask for a refund. I reached out to the eye clinic 5 times!!! but they won't let me do it. They kept telling me some sort of manager will reach me but I never receive any calls. Don't go cuz they are not taking any responsibility. Their management team is nonfunctional.

I am disappointed with Dr. Janet's behavior in handling appointments and patient care. Despite arriving consistently early for appointments, I've noticed a pattern of her being late and leaving patients waiting for an extended period. When it's finally our turn, she rushes through the examination, spending only a minute with my child, and then dismissively states there's been no improvement.
Firstly, Dr. Janet could have conducted this short examination before disappearing for half an hour. Secondly, if there's no progress in my child's condition, it's indicative of her lack of competence. Why do such professionals pursue this field and take our money if they provide no tangible benefit besides wasting our time and finances?"
