I was gonna do a big elaborate review, but just to make it simplified the manager, Amanda is completely insane. The first day I went into the Store Amanda and a customer were yelling back-and-forth. Both cussing at each other. When the customer finally left, Amanda followed her outside of the store and continued cussing at her. I thought it was just a crazy Customer. Fast forward pasted all of the drama I had to go through here same thing happened to me. I asked her for her name. She refused to give it to me so I took a photo of her to make a complaint to Corporate so they knew who I was dealing with. She told me she was going to contact her attorney and that she had my personal information and knows what to do with it. She even followed me outside of the store took a picture of me and my car, which I gladly smiled and waved for. Threatening someone with their personal information is unacceptable. That information is supposed to be protected. I'm not the only one saying this about Amanda read the reviews. She is definitely unhinged and unstable. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra 15 minutes to the location in middle River. Their customer service and manager are phenomenal. People like Amanda should not be in customer service let alone be a manager. If you have an experience with her like this, I suggest you call Corporate and make a complaint because this is unacceptable. We can't let tyrants like this ruin our business.

I'm disappointed with the service provided. I paid almost $400 for a pair of glasses and received only a very cheap, soft case--no eyeglasses cleaning cloth included. I was told that hard cases were on back order, yet they had hard cases on display at the counter.

Americas Best? More like America's WORST!! My appointment last evening was absolutely the WORST experience I have ever had at a medical office! Everything started out well with the front staff being very friendly and welcoming. I was warmly greeted and then given a series of 3 tests by one of the assistants. I could see that the optometrist was sitting in his exam room texting while waiting for his next appointment. After about 2 minutes, Dr. Kim was given my chart and gave me an eye exam. I brought with my my current glasses that I got from America's Best 10 years ago but there was also a copy of that previous prescription in my folder as well. I would have thought that Dr. Kim would have taken at least a minute from his texting to review my file before seeing me. When I asked him about how my prescription had changed, he was very dismissive and said that he didn't know what I had previously, odd since it was in my file. Afterwards, I picked 2 frames and then the assistant showed me my previous prescription on her computer screen which was oddly stronger than the new prescription that Dr. Kim was suggesting. I asked to speak with Dr. Kim regarding this as asked him if he could explain why or even how it might be possible that my prescription would be less strong from one of over 10 years ago. Dr. Kim was highly annoyed that I even was asking for this reasoning but he also had put on his coat during our conversation that was taking place out in the open of the waiting room with other customers present. Dr. Kim then boldly states, "Well you have diabetes, don't you?", clearly a HIPPAA violation, to which I responded "No, I don't have diabetes!" I was absolutely shocked at his unprofessional behavior, including declaring that I had a disease which I don't have. I admonished Dr. Kim for his unprofessional behavior, including his dismissive attitude, reminding him that I was the customer and just wanted to know how it was that my prescription could have improved from over 10 years ago. It just didn't make sense. I told Dr. Kim that he was a quack and that he clearly was operating a scam with his unprofessional business practices. His response was to just shrug his shoulders and continue his dismissiveness. Is this REALLY how he treats all of his clients? I would hope that my experience was a unique one but I have a feeling that this is the ongoing business model of America's WORST Contacts & Eyeglasses! I am also contacting the US Department of Health & Human Services for this outrageous HIPPAA violation of declaring that I had diabetes in an open waiting room with several other clients present, especially when I have never had such disease. I would avoid this location in Dundalk, Maryland at all cost!

worst experience of my life I left in tears, I should've learned the first time in 2023 when going and the racist manager didn't believe I had multiple insurance plans or that one of my plans paid for both glasses and contacts, she belittled and spoke at me, fast forward to now, my prescription has been the same since middle school i'm 38, and because of the managers rude behavior I decided to take a hard copy of my prescription and buy my glasses elsewhere, go to pick up my glasses and I cannot see anything, asked to see hard rx and to my surprise it wasn't my rx and I in fact know it's someone else's rx because my contacts rx was finalized that same day and they are completely different which has never happened to me in 38 years of life. I called and tried to explain over the phone about the situation and the young lady seemed confused so I advised I was on my way to explain and show her my prescription in person to which she responded ma'am are you threatening me? I said no ma'am i'm just trying to figure out how I was given the wrong rx these glasses are physically making me sick, as I walk into the store i'm on the line with corporate and advised that they were calling the store to ask about possibly getting my exam redone, to my shock the employee sat on the phone lying to corporate stating I had cursed at all of their employees and was rude and threatening and they wanted me banned from all locations, I immediately walked out in tears and cannot wait until corporate finishes their investigation, as a quality assurance analyst I would love for that phone call and video to be played back and all employees involved fired... from reading these reviews i'm not the only person that clearly feels this way... i'm just happy that the eye dr where I actually decided to purchase my glasses from is agreeing to give me another exam and no charge to update my glasses to the correct rx even though it's not their fault or responsibility, this americas best really lacks professionalism and empathy for their patients, I can see them closing in the near future. And I have been a patient of americas best since 2000 but will gladly take my multiple insurance and money elsewhere.

Very disappointed in my visit today. I came in for my standard exam appointment and they asked if I had forms that needed to be filled out. I told them the MVA form for my license renewal. The lady at the counter (she was very nice) told me that they charge $30 for the doctor to fill that out. I asked why? The lady on the other side of her said that it's because the doc has to do another exam for that. I asked her if the competitors charge this fee as well. She said yes they do and it's more. So I went off to the waiting room and decided to call Lens Crafters - they do not charge that $30 fee as it is complimentary to their eye exam. They said as long as you get an exam they will take care of it. Hmmm perhaps she was just uninformed but I did not like the vibe of an extra $30 fee, especially during these tough economic times. I cancelled my appointment (while in the waiting room) and will be going to Lens Crafters where there is no additional fee. It's a shame because I liked the staff at Americas Best - always really nice people there.

This is the worst place ever to get glasses. They screw up on the lens and its your fault. They dont listen to what you want. The manager is a piece of work. Dont know what customer service is. Will not recommend ever. Do not go to get glasses here. Would give negative stars if I could.

This branch provides a poor customer experience. The staff makes you feel as though you are begging for service rather than being helped. There is a lack of commitment and communication regarding when glasses will be ready for pickup. Additionally, the doctor who examined my mother's eyes was unprofessional and showed little patience or consideration toward her as an elderly patient.
