My wife and I have been getting eye exams for over 2 decades across 3 different states. We went to South River Eye Care yesterday for exams and glasses. This experience was by far the best we've ever had. It was the most thorough exam we have been through so far. Everyone was very friendly and professional. The folks that work the eyeglass area are extremely knowledgeable and took their time with both of us. They all made us feel comfortable and without stress. We will definitely be going back.

Dr. Beling and the entire staff at South River Eye Care were instrumental in getting my complicated vision back to 20/20 with a pair of progressive glasses. Both lenses were perfect and they changed my life. So very helpful and friendly. Best around. Highly recommend.

South River Eyecare is the best eye care and glasses business anyone in our family of four has ever been to. As long as they exist and we are alive, we will go there.

The staff and Dr. Beling at South River Eye Care were exceptional. This was my first visit to the practice. The check-in process was seamless and quick, amidst the COVID protocols. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful with explaining what my benefits covered. Dr. Beling was very thorough and explained each step of the examination process. She took the time sit with me and go through my examination results. I never felt like I was being rushed out the door for the next patient. I can't say enough about what a great experience I had. I highly recommend them.

Very impressed! My prescription by Dr. Beling was on-point which is the1st time ever compared to other eye docs I have been to locally. Kristi offered great help choosing my frames & they are so comfortable. I will definitely return when it's time for a prescription update or having other eye concerns.

This review is a contemporaneous synopsis of my encounters with South River Eye Care. My first peripheral encounter with South River Eye Care was when the owner walked into my store (I work in the marine trades) on a boating issue. As I recall from several years ago she was a good customer and I helped her. She gave me her card. My eyeglass prescription has been very stable for decades and I'm careful so glasses last me a LONG time. Recently my arms have gotten shorter *grin* and my ophthalmologist recommended progressive lenses. I figured Transitions would be a good idea as well. Today (a Saturday in April '19) I walked into South River Eye Care in Edgewater MD with my new prescription. My wife was busy and I was out on other errands so I was without adult supervision. *grin* I told the optician who stepped up to help me what I thought I knew and what I thought I wanted. She very patiently helped me with a number of frame options and equally patiently took pictures of me in each for my wife to look at. She wrote all the options down and the front desk staff opened a file for me. So we would not have to start over when I came back. I'm impressed. Without vision insurance the prices are a bit attention getting but I truly feel you get what you pay for here. I expect to be back late in the week to finalize my order. A few days later I stopped by with my choices firm. Very helpful, good fitting, good measurements (Pd), and outstanding treatment. Just nice people. Seven to ten days to my new glasses and a 60 day window to order a backup pair with a steep discount. Out on a business trip when I got the call that my glasses were ready. Today I stopped by to pick them up. Great service again. Recognized and greeted at the desk, well fit, excellent advice for adjusting to my first pair of progressive lenses. I'm wearing them now. *grin* My wife is happy about how I look and I am happy about how I see. We'll be back for her new glasses in a few weeks. I have not had better service and a better product for glasses than from South River Eye Care. Tell 'em Dave on Auspicious sent you.

i just recently visited South River Eye Care in Edgewater . I found my experience to be great! DR. Beling and her staff really made you feel welcome and confident they new and cared about your overall eye exam. They really took their time answering any questions I might have had. Even when I keep asking to see the chart over and over again ... my bad .. Dr. Biling didn't seem to mind. I would highly recommend anyone to go there. Very PROFESSIONAL!! thank you !!

Mistakes were made, Kelly did her best to correct the situation in a calm and respectable manor. She went above and beyond and gave my mom a complementary pair of sunglass. So if your looking for great service I recommend south river eye care.
