Tidewater Family Eye Care

5 stars is not enough! This is a phenomenal practice. Randy squeezed us in on a Saturday because my son hit his eye and was complaining about changes to his vision. I called a few practices and Tidewater made an emergency appointment within 45 minutes which was just amazing. Dr. Dean has a great approach with younger kids and immediately had my son at ease. I am so grateful they were able to see us so quickly and they genuinely seemed to care. It is also just a really lovely and clean practice. The waiting room was calming and pleasant. Highly recommend!

I have gone to many eye doctors, and until I found this office none of my previous eye doctors could get my prescription correct. Every time I go in to get my eyes checked, everyone is very warm and professional. I've never felt like a "number." I've seen both providers and they're extremely thorough; bonus for being personable. Highly recommend this office to anyone looking for an eye doctor!!!

Tidewater Family Eye Care in Edgewater is amazing and top notch! From basic eye care and exams, frame selection, and emergency visits, they do it all! Within the last year they have seen me twice for unfortunate eye injuries and got me in right away, without an appointment. Dean has a great sense of humor and puts you at ease. Front desk staff are professional and cordial. Really everything you could ask for in an eye care provider.

The office staff are always very friendly, kind and helpful whenever I come in. Recently, I had sudden onset of eye pain and Ivette asked Dr. Dean if he could fit me into his schedule that day. Despite his booked schedule, Dr. Dean took the time to thoroughly evaluate my eye and explain what was going on. He provided treatment that relieved my eye pain. He was VERY patient, compassionate and gracious. I am SO grateful that he could see me that day. And a BIG thanks to Ivette and Randy who helped me before and after the appointment with Dr. Dean! Thank you!!!

I had eye pain after an emergency hospital visit and couldn't find anyone to help--until I called Tidewater Family Eye Care. Drs. Dean and Genevieve Gogerdchi brought me in right away. They were calm, compassionate, and incredibly thorough. I felt seen, heard, and safe. Since then, I've become a regular patient and have received nothing but excellent care. When I tried another eye doctor, an ophthalmologist -covered by insurance--the experience didn't even come close. I quickly returned to Drs. Gogerdchi. Even when I had an issue with scratched lenses from new glasses, their staff member Randy replaced them without hesitation. The level of care feels like family. Now that I'm a permanent Annapolis resident, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Choosing Tidewater Family Eye Care is one of the best decisions I've made.

I wanted to share my wonderful experience from my first visit to Tidewater Family Eye Care this morning. I was so impressed with the entire team! It was the most thorough eye exam I've ever had. I also appreciated that everything was clearly explained from beginning to end. I was so impressed that I booked an appointment for my husband before I left. As someone working in healthcare, I truly value and appreciate the amazing customer care I received. I look forward to a long relationship with Tidewater Family Eye Care.

Went in for cataract removal surgery and astigmatism correction with lenses. Right eye went as planned but after astigmatism lenses were paid for (10 days before surgery), Dr. Pavilak decided 4 days before surgery to change left eye to monovision and said, "you'll get some money back"). Left eye hasn't been right since. It's been a year. I asked about the refund for not using the $3500 lens, it took over 3 weeks to get a response of "it was a package deal - no refund" from the billing office. Beware!!!

I thought this place was very good but starting from the beginning the staff that attends you is very bad especially Jessica is a heavy arrogant woman with people they don't even let you have the time to place the personal information well they are annoying me to do it quickly I am very disrespectful when choosing my daughter's glasses it was the same they didn't give me time to look for the right option they were there pressing when it was time to pay they made me feel as if I didn't have the money to pay when clearly if I went it is because I had both insurance and money to pay it that was missing
