Confirm, confirm, and confirm again, and get it in writing!!!!! I have previously had fantastic experiences here, so much so, that the wait for an appointment was well worth it! However, in October of 2025, I went into the office. The gentleman at the front desk took my new insurance card (we recently changed insurance companies) and made a copy, and then scheduled my appointment for Thursday, March 5, 2026. I put the appointment in the calendar on my phone, and confirmed the date and time with him three times. I was a bit nervous, because he seemed new and inexperienced and had to keep asking for help with the insurance card, insurance plan limits, and scheduling the appointment......which is why I confirmed the date and time, THREE times before leaving. I scheduled the day off from work, for my appointment, and patiently waited. Today, I received a phone call from a lady who could not have been more rude or argumentative, who called to confirm my appointment for "Wednesday, March 3, 2026", and to let me know that "the insurance card on file is expired and no longer valid", (which was our old carrier......which is why I took our new card in, when I made the appointment). I attempted to explain to her that I brought my new insurance card in, when I booked the appointment last October, and that I had confirmed the date and time of my upcoming appointment, multiple times, with the gentleman at the front desk. She could not have had a worse attitude. She did offer to reschedule my appointment, for JUNE. The doctor is fantastic but the office staff leave MUCH to be desired!!!! (This was not my first, or only, experience with rude office staff there). Needless to say, I will be looking for a new office, since, after waiting almost six months for an appointment, I feel that waiting another three months, due to THEIR mistake, is a bit excessive. Having said that, when you book your appointment for 2027, please make sure to get it in writing and request a confirmation call every few weeks just to make sure that there are no surprises come appointment time!

I'm 60 years old have been going to eye doctors for a very long time. Holloway is by far the best. I never had such a thorough eye exam. Everyone is wonderful. The quality, selection and price are fantastic. I highly recommend them.

Love Holloway Eye Care & Optique. I've been a patient of Dr. Shilts for years. Appointments run on time, and I'm never left waiting in the lobby. The optical staff are professional and helpful. I've ordered several pairs of glasses over the years and never had an issue with any of my purchases. Highly recommend if you are looking for a family friendly all in one provider. KC

Everyone in the office was very professional But i dont know if i agree with their no show policy It was 2 years ago and i was not aware that i missed An appt (very unlike me). I strongly believe you should have billed me. NOT SURPRISE ME 2 years later. Just my opinion!

The Dr is very nice & professional. The office is well run, and the staff is knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Have been going there for years and wouldn't change a thing!

Doctor Rebecca Shultz has been my doctor for years. She is everything great a doctor needs to be. All the staff that work here are attentive , caring , and top notch !!!
