Maryland Eye Institute

I have been going to this practice for over 15 years and have always received excellent care. The whole staff is very friendly and efficient in the care they provide. Dr. Naseh provides excellent care and involves the patient in decision making after clearly explaining the pros and cons of each situation.

Dr Furhad Naseh Is an amazing eye doctor. He takes the time to listen and truly cares not just about my eyes, but about my overall well- being. He's kind, patient, and has a big heart .I truly believe God sent him as an angle to help us . He always puts his patients first even going out of his schedule to make sure we're safe and well cared.. Highly recommend him everyone. May God bless him with long healthy life to continue helping other .

So it was my first time there. The receptionist made the appointment along side with my insurance and self on January 27th 2023 at 3:37 pm for Monday February 1st 2023 at 11:45 am. I arrived completed the screening on line application process. I thought that was very cool received a mask from the blond haired receptionist. Thank you again through the brown haired receptionist. Some time went by I didn't read any signs other then Maryland Eye Institute when the brown haired receptionist said if your getting a prescription then it will cost you $75 your medicare only covers one but if you're getting the exam your fine. Not understanding why she is telling me that when my brain chooses to blank out. I try to say I wish you would of informed me on Friday I would of had the insurance representative look and find me somewhere else. But the brown haired receptionist was asking for the vision card or just the $75. So I called the insurance company to contact Maryland Eye Institute but it must of been a lunch break time for the receptionists I didn't hear the phone at all while the insurance representative called the front desk I assumed. My name was called twice but I wanted the situation fixed before I walked out. So I handed the phone to the receptionist and the insurance representative informed the receptionist with the numbers to cover me & state that I am totally covered for all services Eye examination, prescription and glasses. I guess when a customer says Im covered for everything I don't know if it is checked to see if there is other services provided on the insurance card if isn't checked. No vision card necessary since my card has that in one. The insurance representative talked & the receptionist typed in the information and didn't say anything else to me Nada or nothing before speaking To her comrade. Mr. Jorge called me back I assumed all was right with the world. But let's go to the great awesome side: Mr.Jorge(Awesomeness) Thanks for listening & checking on to make sure the drops weren't going be that bad but necessary Thanks to the staff on the 3 other video eye machines for making my seat stay still and making the experience wonderful. Especially Dr. Gupta. For the exam I enjoyed her wonderful quick sense of humor and the extra drops I really loved that the diabetic etc drops didn't have me dilated the whole rest of the week Thanks so much for that as well. I was still able to function at work. Thanks see ya in 6 months

Long-time patient treated unfairly after an internal error made by the optical department. I was pressured to accept glasses I never ordered and never authorized. When I refused, I was removed from their system and denied future appointments. Poor customer service and lack of accountability from the optical administrator, Eduardo. Very disappointing experience.

I've been meaning to write this review but always forget because of how amazing one of the Doctors is.. But my god the front staff is extremely vulgar, hostile & guaranteed to be in the most sour mood EVERY single time I've had an appointment here. Ask them a question and it's like you insulted them for having the audacity for making them do any work. They give you mean looks and try to avoid you at all costs. Most of my information goes thru the kiosk anyway why are you so mad at a question?! How can you be this bitter and work at a job like this? If you don't like people then do not work in health care!! I once witnessed the front staff Harass an elderly lady and insinuate that she is lying or trying to scam them with her insurance. When that lady was just confused and needed help!! I do not leave bad reviews unless it really hits my soul and if it was a one time thing I would let it slide. But this happens almost every single time one of us has had an appointment. My family and I have been coming here for several years, if it weren't for the amazing doctors we would have left a while ago!!! I'm not sure if this is a family owned business or what but I've always seen the same group of people at the front desk for years now. Yes their conduct and passive aggressiveness earned this place a 1 star, this is not how you treat anyone!! Also I've noticed the institute reply to some people who have had a similar experience with "we can't identify you as one of our patients" why would I allow you to know my identity just so you can put on a facade the next time I'm there? Or for them to treat me in a worse manner than they already have. It makes no sense instead of not believing your patients start paying attention to the conduct of your staff!!

I have been a patient at Maryland Eye Institute for nearly 20 years and I am writing this review two decades late. I went for my annual checkup today and was seen promptly and was thoroughly examined. Everyone was friendly and respectful and Dr. Naseh spent ample time with me, going over all necessary eye examinations without rushing through my visit. The optical staff were also very helpful and patient. I appreciate the great care I receive from this office and plan on returning for many years to come.

I used to go there but I can't go there no more because when I got released from the hospital I had called and canceled my appointment try to make a novel appointment they wouldn't let me do it she told me first I have to bring some hospital paper and show them that I was in the hospital and I told them I'm not going to do that I was in the hospital so you don't need to see my hospital paper she said if I don't bring hospital paper and to show her then I can't be seen there anymore I will have something done with that action will be taken

Really friendly technicians. Seriously - these guys are great! I also appreciated Dr. Elera's detailed feedback and readiness for answering questions. Would definitely come back for eye health.
