I usually come here for my monthly appointment for a personal reason and Johnathan B. was the best receptionist they ever hired. Before when I use to come I wouldn't really like it but ever since I met Johnathan makes my whole day 10x better and is very helpful. He's such a positive person and I love that about him so much. Keep doing the good job you're doing Johnathan

I called the Retinol Group of Washington to schedule an appointment and was disappointed by the unprofessionalism of the front desk staff. Although I proceeded with the appointment, I later had to cancel due to snow. When I called to cancel, the representative, Jonathan, was notably rude and seemed frustrated. After canceling, he abruptly hung up without offering any alternative or even a simple goodbye. This lack of courtesy and professionalism was quite disappointing.

Will NEVER go to this location AGAIN I would go blind first (no disrespect to those who are blind ) ! This location is very unprofessional... I was the second person to arrive with a 8:00appt on 8-21-25 which I just ended up leaving due to the long wait time... I'm very much confused if I'm the first of your patients WHY does it take you 1.5-2hr to think about coming in the room ? When I asked staff what was going on they rather do TikToks in the back hallway and not communicate.

We typically visit the Silver Spring location, but were scheduled for the Greenbelt location for a weekend post-op appointment. We will make all arrangements necessary to avoid this location in the future. The woman with the long eyelash extensions at the front desk was extremely unprofessional and rude. She had an attitude during check-in, mumbled things under her breath and refused to make accommodations. I hope that this location does a better job at staffing their practice with competent employees. Staff should know how to treat patients with care and respect, especially staff providing customer service.

The wait time was incredibly long and I would not recommend this practice. Last week we arrived at 1:50PM for a 2PM appointment and did not see the doctor until 4PM. I will go to a different practice next time.

I called to reschedule my appointment with the Greenbelt facility. (My appointment was the same day I called.) I rescheduled because I just found out I had pneumonia and it was contagious for the next 24-48 hours. When I called I spoke to Carla. Carla was very ruined and unprofessional. RGW should now the type of people representing their practice.

Yesterday was my third appointment with Dr. Sanders. My first was because my eye doctor thought I had a tear in my retina. Met with Dr. Sanders, he said I didn't but that I needed to follow up with him every two years to. I waited two hours to be seen. He was in the room with me for 5 minutes. Talking into an earpiece the entire time to his assistant who works remotely. I never knew when he was talking to me, or her. It made for a very awkward appointment. He talks over you when you ask questions, or he doesn't let you finish the question before he starts talking. Second appointment two years later was just a follow up to the first appointment, nothing wrong with my eyes. Waited two and a half hours to be seen. He was in the room with me for 5 minutes. Same experience as appointment number one. Talks over you, on the phone with his assistant, never know if he's talking to you, literally says "I'm not talking to you" when you try to say something to him when he was actually talking to his assistant. This appointment two year after the second, again a follow up to make sure all was ok. This time I actually had three things to talk to him about. Floaters obstructing view, twitching, and blurriness/double vision in one eye. This appointment was just like the other two, and I know I should have expected it but I was hoping the first two were flukes. I arrived ten minutes before my appointment time. My total wait time, including the ten minutes, was 2 hours and 27 minutes. He was in the room 3 minutes. He spoke over me. He didn't ANSWER questions and give options, instead he told me that "we" wouldn't want to do anything about the floaters obstructing my vision. Really, I didn't know you see through my eyes every day. He totally dismissed the double/blurry vision and eye twitch. He spoke to his assistant on his earpiece the majority of the time, and before he ever looked at my eyes or heard any of my complaints, he told his assistant to write the letter that says nothing is wrong and to send it to my other doctors. How do you know that if you haven't actually LOOKED at my eyes. Look, I get that he's a "retina specialist" and he carries himself with an air of "I'm important", and sure, he can do something that a lot of people can't. However, he's not a heart surgeon, neurosurgeon, psychologist, etc. Those people are just an important as he is. He needs to show respect to his patients. I will be switching practices for two reasons. 1. The wait time is ridiculous to be seen for 3-5 minutes by the actual doctor. 2. Dr. Sanders actions as a doctor are nothing that a doctor should be. He shows no compassion or empathy, no ability to understand a patients needs and concerns, and no ability to explain medical information.

My first visit I understood the wait. I was a same day appointment and I expected to wait-no problem. I underwent tests based on a referral. The issue that sent me to this practice was never addressed-like the Doctor never said "yes I see that ...or..no I don't see that concern." Instead I was told I had a cataract and needed to return. I came back weeks later for my appointment and the wait was ridiculous. I arrived 10 min early for my appt and was taking back by the nurse. There's 2 stars listed because she was so kind to me. She did the check in and had me sit to wait to be called. I waited for TWO hours. Literally 2 hours. Remember this appointment was schedule WEEKS in advance this time. When I finally was called back, I was told the doctor would be right in and I waited in that room for 40 minutes. No one ever came to say we apologize or there was something that came up. That I could've understood and respected. When the doctor finally came in he said "thanks for your patience" that's it. Then he started talking to his iPad scribe to which I learned when I responded and he said he wasn't talking to me. He examined me-this time he took about 3 minutes. The first time it took approx 20 minutes. After those 3 minutes he said you don't need another appointment, come back if needed. What?? I went from hemorrhaging (what sent me there by a doctor), to a cataract, to your retina is fine. Mind you, my vision in that eye is blurry even with glasses. There was no explanation on how we got to just prn from a cataract. He spent about 5 minutes on the room between the 3 minute exam and then talking to the scribe. After I waited all that time. The only reason I stayed was because I knew my vision was blurry and I was concerned.
